Today i started school. Yeah i know, it's summer and probably you thinking why the hell i'm going to school when i should be having fun. To think of it, i ask the same thing.
Anyways today i started my college classes at the local comunity college. It is so much fun since i'm still in high school , 10th grade to be more specific. I'm taking Biology and Astronomy, you know grow intelectually and have the oportunity to go to the best universities. It's better to start early than late.
While i was in Bio class and listening to the teacher ( i do that sometimes you know, Listen) when he said something i thought he would never say. He said that since we are going to hear rumors he might as well tells us straight out that he was a gay man. I was kind of surprise. I know nothing will change the teacher to student relationship as he is a very cool-nice to be around kind of guy.
I know aids is something that affects our society. AIDS is one of the most important topics in his class. Just today he introduced us to knew organizations that help people with aids that i haven't even hear of. This teacher is different, not because he is gay or anything but because of energy you feel when you are listening to his lectures. He likes to joke around with us and knows how to make a class fun. I know this are going exciting 6 weeks. I since i'm going to learn a lot from this teacher.

I would not like to thing i'm the only one. Let me hear your story.

Only had two teachers that I thought might be gay, but they never said a word about it. But in some ways, we can kinda tell.
Your not alone, just in a new (in the most positive way) type of situation.
Take something positive from every situation and you will find life very interesting indeed!

That's really cool that you're taking summer college classes. I did that and got some freshman credits out of the way. Biology and Astronomy huh? I love the stars.........hey, that makes me think of poetry lines

That's great about your teacher. He sounds extreme !!
There are no gay people where I live >snort< but my Art teacher last year definitely was and he was the coolest guy. He would talk about prejudice and bigotry and we could ask him anything. He would use colors to show how different every person was. He opened one of those huge boxes of crayons, dumped them all out and then asked us to line them up by hue. He talked about how many shades of every color there were and how there are that many and more shades of people.....all beautiful ....all could be used to make a rainbow.
Let us hear how the class goes.........and what other things he has to tell you.

I had one HS teacher who was probably gay, but pretty much nobody was out back then, especially a public school teacher. He was a great guy - I took an independant study reading class where I just gave him periodic oral book reports because our schedules didn't match. I almost asked him, but was pretty sure he wouldn't tell me anyway. One of few "memorable" teachers.
