You would have liked it here in Göteborg where I live, Gothia Cup's here again for the...well, more than 20th time now, bigger and badder than ever. 1600!!! football (the REAL football, I mean ) teams, ALL of the players total cuties. Man, the city is absolutely FILLED with cute guys, and the summer's awesome. I was downtown today to ogle guys, and I saw a bunch that were VERY hot.
I walked past Ullevi Stadium, they were gearing up for the opening spectacle I think, because there were tons of football kids around and they all seemed to have such a good time. It was great, I feel very proud of my city every time it shows off its best side like this. Beautiful weather, beautiful summer, beautiful people... It's just really great, hehe!
Tomorrow I get my SIM card for the phone, so I will go take a pic of Simon Lindegren's tree and mail it to everyone who wants a copy.
Then, to balance out all the nice stuff I got from the wal, I had some damn kids knock on my door twice only to run away. When I heard some kids come down the stairs again I unlocked the door and looked out the spyhole to see if it was them. One girl walked past and then another girl, and she knocked as she walked past. I jerked the door open and threw myself at them, the one that had knocked was so startled she screamed and actually sat down at the top of the stairs as I lunged at her (the metal barrier at the side of the stair separated us; Nick, you know what it looked like). I tried to grab her but my arm wasn't long enough to reach, then she screamed again and took off down the stair. I chased after her only wearing socks on my feet!
Damn, I'm no runner at all hehe, or maybe it was the fact I'd been walking around for 2 hours earlier in the day, I barely gained on her. Maybe it was the adrenaline that made her go so fast, hehe. I must have chased her for like 75 meters or so down through the length of the central corridor of the adjacent building and out the other end, then she turned left and ran towards a sandbox there. She ran behind a wooden picnic table where some guy was sitting and sort of tried to seek shelter with him. First I thought that was her daddy, but it was just some random guy. She was REALLY scared and promised she'd never knock on my door again and I growled she'd better keep it and tried to be as intimidating as possible before turning to leave again.
On the way back I got really angry about being disturbed when I was trying to have a good time in my home after a nice walk, and instead having to go chase down some silly girl. I scared her alright and I hope she won't do it again (or encourage others to do the same), but it felt so unneccessary. I didn't WANT to have to scare her. Grrr! Besides, the quick dash on top of all that walking gave me a headache and that didn't exactly improve my mood. Then I thought it kind of funny, remembering her scream as I tore my front door open...! I should have roared at her too, she'd probably peed her panties then, hehe.
Btw, didja guys know that 'Roar' is a not uncommon name in Norway? Pronounciation guide: 'Ro' with a light 'r' and a long 'o'-sound, 'ar' as in 'argument'. Two syllables in total. End of trivia section.
Continue to have fun and enjoy yourself!
