I agree that love is real. So real it takes your breath away but when the person you love crushes you, you feel it. If you really love someone, would it just go away? I think you would feel it and keep feeling it forever. I don't think love is like a light switch. You may not want to feel it, but it will be there all the same, in your heart.

please do not give up on love as it is undefinable and is forever,a part of human existance.Hard to understand and sometimes hurtful.The human need for companionship and completeness is often fraught with traps and pitfalls.Somehow one must reach for the strength to overcome.Please do not be afraid to share that part of your spirit that makes you who you are.There is too much at stake.God bless and be well...rob

Well, sometimes we accidentally crush each other a bit, but I think we are also more rubbery than one might think - we can bounce back sometimes. May be a bit deformed for awhile, but eventually . . .

Sometimes, too, I think we are afraid to get too close. Love can be a scary thing sometimes, and we can be nasty when we are scared.

Well, I do hope someone hasn't truly broken you. This is a nice place to heal, I think.

If someone you love crushes you, you may not want to feel love again. You may be afraid to love again or feel unworthy. You may fight against feeling love again and supress your feelings, but if you allow yourself, you can feel it again.
