You know I like the suggestion. I think it was Warren's. I am content to have them, but the only work I will do is to stylise them to fit the site layout. That's fair. After all, that's what I do with the stories anyway.

A MS Word document by email is ideal. A txt file means work for me. So, if you are a hosted author and would like your biog published, send it.

There was a suggestion as well for a bibliography. Sure. If only I knew what the proposer had in mind. So, please create an example here and then let's get the authors to construct it.

While we're here, what about a story synopsis, like the back page of a paperback, for each long story? Again over to the authors.

I was wondering about the concept of an individual statement by an author that they acknowledge that I acknowledge their copyright, but frankly the webmaster (me) woudl say that he has permission, wouldn't he (I)? So that has no intrinsic value. I think we will stick to the copyright statement on the home page. Not read it? Go there and scroll to the foot.

Yup. As I suspected, this is a dead horse. No replies means no interest.

Timmy you are excused, as your entire web-site is one great big "biography"; but with regard to others, hey it doesn't matter.

Mind you these biographies needn't have been anything too burdonsome either - a paragraph or two at best would have been suitable, a few lines a worst acceptable - just a friendly blurb enlightening readers and fans alike about who the author is, and how it came about that the each had chose writing as a craft; something, no more and no less, that could, and would, have created a further, if empirical link with, a bond if you will, with their following.

The "bibliography" would be no great biggie either; for Timmy's purposes, simply a list of an author's known works and where and when they were published would have been sufficient. Just another tool, or device to forge reader loyalty, expecially in those instances where only selected titles from an author's catalogue have been selected for publishing here, allowing those interested to be able to seek mising titles out, and share in the author's wider vision.

A "synopsis", or précis too, would have been merely another device to forge those links; an invaluable tool to any newcomer to this web-site, allowing them to select which fare might capture their immediate interest, much like real World browsing from the bookshelves at a local Library or Retailer.

On the otherhand, what the hell do I know.

Apparently not much.

But I need people to send me things. Not a big deal either way.
