Well, that was just special........NOT. This huge blonde woman with really bad hair and red red lips introduces James, the gay guy who's supposed to pick. He seems kinda nice, bunches of teeth, says he is having trouble even finding anyone he can get to the first stage of a relationship with. He wants to fall in love and be monogamous (on cable tv haha). The prize is a trip to New Zealand for James and his new fella. Problem is, what if he picks one of the str8 guys? Fun trip, huh!

James' best friend, Andra is there to help him but her str8dar is malfunctioning or something cause she can't find them. I picked one out and he was one that was kicked off. He was just NOT gay. Something about his lei......

The huge blonde woman is all over the place, hugging all the men. She's like bigger than most of them. It was like a cattle auction. Photos on the wall and James and Andra discussing each guy....harsh.

Anyway...Ugh! There is this one really cocky blonde surfer dude who KNOWS he's gonna win. He told James he has a bf in New York but they are open to dating other people.....that didn't score with Mr. Monogamous but dang! he didn't kick him off. I wanted to myself. He even was like licking his lips at James ewwww !!

My 2 favs were picked to stay: Franklin and Paul. Franklin has gorgeous eyes and black curly hair, loves classical music and looks very Irish. Paul is really young and sweet and tends to babble and has dimples.

The three he kicked out were because:
1. He had just come out and James didn't want to be his teacher
(bad James....Chris was real cute and a sweetie)
2. He was too quiet and James didn't find him appealing (me either)
3. He was just off.....I swear it was the way he wore that lei

Will I watch it again? No. Do I care who wins? No. Just don't hurt Franklin or Paul. Maybe James and Dan (the bleached surfer guy) will go to New Zealand with Dan's NY bf. Queer Eye for the Str8 Guy is really funny. Boi meets Boi meets Boi meets Boi...........is just not.

Next week they dress up like cowboys and do that dance like on QAF, you know the one where they spoon but somehow in the hot sun of the Palm Springs desert, it isn't too sexy.......and James says in a voiceover "I'm beginning to dislike Dan!" Well, I guess so, as Dan the Surfer Man is taking away all the guys.

I concur, smith, right on down the line.

First of all, even though she is his "best friend", this is a decision he should be making on his own.

I too picked "Brian A" as the str8 guy at the end (I'm not sure if it was the lei or that insipid green t-shirt he was wearing!).

Frankie and Paul were indeed no-contest choices to stay. I don't know if I'll watch any more of it either; but I would like to see one of them win (although, I also feel that either of them would deserve much better; if they both get voted off, they would make for quite a cute couple themselves!). Perhaps it was therefore good that Chris got voted out, as he certainly deserves all the support (real support) he can get at this point in his life (and even James admits himself he's not the right person to do that).

I suppose we shouldn't complain, since TV (finally!) is addressing the concerns of a viable portion of society. The sad thing is, they could have done it so much better! It's hard enough for str8s to start a meaningful relationship (never mind gays!); and the whole concept of adding to the mix the possibility that the "winner" might be str8 is being downright cruel.

Perhaps my expectations were just too high.
