I expect simple behaviours here. Friendship, and love.

I can tell you that this is because of the abusive behaviour of the user known as robert bryce.

His insistence on posting here after being banned may mean that the casual user is required to register and log in, a thing I have always sought to avoid. I could ban ALL posters from his ISP, but that is an awful step to take.

If any of you have anyi onfluence over him, get him to go away. I may have to take matters substantially further forward if he does not.

Would it be a lot of extra work to simply delete these as spam?  [message #13007 is a reply to message #12987] Fri, 01 August 2003 03:17 Go to previous messageGo to next message

It would really be a shame if this place did become "register only". No matter how simple the registration procedure might be, it could still dissuade some of those "newbies" who would truly benefit from and contribute something positive to these proceedings from participating at all. I certainly understand and feel your frustration, Tim (and I'm sure "frustration" is stating the case mildly); but if that happens, then Rob might just see that as a victory, that he all by himself was able to make this place something less than it is (and can be) at the expense of everybody else.

imho, it should be the absolute last resort.
