*giggles incoherently*
I got a reply to my Gaydar ad! It's a guy HERE IN TOWN! He's from India but working here in the IT sector (hm, what a surprise! Lots of talented IT people in India), and he's a little shy and withdrawn like me, but goes out to discos sometimes because he loves to dance...
Omgomgomg... I just sent him a reply email! Omgomgomg!

Really happy for ya Lenny! I hope you get to meet him and the two of you hit it off. Then, of course, I want to hear about every little detail. And the not so little details too. hehehe.
Think good thoughts,

Okay, maybe it's too early to despair. The reply did lie in my hotmail email inbox for FOUR DAYS though before I noticed it, because I didn't log into the messenger for a long time. Hope that didn't piss the guy off.
I didn't expect to get emails to that account so I never bothered to check it. I still wouldn't have found it if I hadn't logged in to msn last night.
Oh well. What happens happens. I hope he writes back... Thanks for your thoughts, everybody.

He emailed me this morning... Wheeeee!
In the pic, he sits on a tall rock located on the south end of the island of Hisingen, with the city center further to the south across the river, he's wearing a beige, long-sleeved knitted shirt and dark jeans of the NICE kind - ie snug-fitting, not the hanging-down-at-your-knees variety.
Makes me think he might have a really nice butt...!
I don't know what he's expecting of me at this point, a friend, or maybe even a - OMG - boyfriend. He tells me he's single, and that he's never been in a relationship before and that he likes many of the things I mention in my Gaydar profile (which makes me hopeful), and he has SUCH a cute name... OMG.
Anyway, excuse me while I giggle some more. I know I should not do this, I should not get my hopes up because I'm so used to disappointment (and it always ends in disappointment), but I can't help thinking, maybe this time... Maybe. Who knows.
Maybe...!

Well, not yet. But I have a choice of dinner with him on friday evening or anytime during the coming weekend! Not sure what to do, I'm leaning towards friday, then decide something for the weekend... Take him for a walk in the city maybe...
Geez, I've got butterflies in my stomach and there's still almost five days left til friday... OMGOMG...!
Anyone experienced with such things who wants to offer some advice? *blush*

Go out Friday. Then start thinking about the rest of the weekend. SLOW DOWN!
As for Friday, be yourself. Focus on having a good time and getting to know him. Find out the things he likes to do, then you'll have a game plan if you decide you want to see him again.
GOOD LUCK! {{{GREAT BIG HUG!!}}}

Friday is set, he wants to go out with me! :):):):):):)
His name is Daya, and he's 23 years old and a little short just like I like them (175cm), and from India like I maybe mentioned, and he is so handsome like I said previously, with short black hair and dark skin. And, he takes ballet classes too, so he's probably all lithe and sexy too. Wow!
Is this for real? Wow...
Must be, because I know I dreamt dreams about him all night so I can't be dreaming now. No, it wasn't like wet dreams hehe, eww, don't be gross , but proper dreams. We were friends and doing stuff together and I can't really remember, but I know that he was there in them... OMG.
This is so cool. All we have to do is set a time for us to meet, and then actually go there to have a nice thai dinner. Wheeeee!
Hugs!

I have always found Thai food to be very romantic and fun, and it always worked for Man when he wanted to get something going with me...hehehehehehe
So be sure to tell us how it all goes!!
Meanwhile, back to the moving into the new apartment chores...

The thai place I'm thinking of is very small and rather intimate, only about five tables, of which two only hold two people. One of those is in a corner towards the back of the place, which naturally is where I want us to sit...
He told me yesterday, that his first name, Dayasindhu, means 'River of Mercy' in English (like, WOW! That's sooo sweet), and that he thinks we seem to be hitting it off well... OMG, can you believe it?!
:):):):):)
I'm gonna get myself a haircut tomorrow for the first time in like four years. No, I won't take it all off, just even it out so my ponytail looks more ordered and not as worn and frayed.
Hope the moving-in business goes well for you.
*HUGS*

I've had my haircut (was fun. I bartered down the price from SKR339 to SKR250, hehehe!). I've showered, done all those things.
Now I'm waiting. Two more hours, just ONE more hour until I will leave my apartement. I know that's leaving way too early really, since I'd be waiting for anything between 15 to 40 minutes, but I hate being late, or risking running late (even though I'm not very good at being prompt). I would especially hate being late today, so I will make SURE I won't be.
Geez, I'm so worried he's going to stand me up... My stomach is all funny and stuff now, I sooo hope he won't stand me up!
Guess I'll know in about 2 1/2 hours if he's honest and really meant all the nice things he said or not...

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

At least you did what it took to find and meet someone and did your best. I'm so sorry it doesn't seem to have worked out, but it is experience and I'm proud of you for going through with it and taking a chance. Better luck next time, and there will be a next time if you keep it up!
