So yestarday I went down to Ocean Grove in NJ with my youth group. There was a battle of the bands down there and it was a thing called Youth Expieriance Surf Sand and Salvation. It was really cool. Steve came with my youth group and for 20 dollars we got admission to the beach the concert free food and drinks. It was awesome.

I coulda won a free t shirt from Star 99.1 but I am short and was in the back of a crowd. I knew all the answers though. Some of my friends won cd's and the like. The salt water burned the cut on me knee soooo bad. I thought it was going to fall off. I didn't have a bathing suit with me so I went in in my baggy shorts and without my shirt. My chest and stomach got soo tan lol it's crazy. My shoulders burned really badly though they hurt now.

Oh wells I dunno if any of you are close enough to NJ to go to one of the YESSS festivals but I thought it was a great time and owuld recommend it. It wasn;t overly godly... Just enough. I got a cool t-shirt from them.

Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?

You got that t-shirt, along with a fun day at the beach with Steve (which something tells me was the best part of all). I'm afraid sunburn is par for the course for those of us "blessed" (?) with fair skin. I am fairly close enough where I might check it out sometime (but I'll be sure to bring my specially-made SPF 1,000,000,000 sunscreen with me!).

Sheesh...you got to go to the Jersey Shore...Tom got to go last week...and I haven't been there since I left New York City. Used to go and enjoy week-ends away from the manhatten concrete.

Oh, wait...I don't need to be jealous...I was just at the neach yesterday with Man. And even if there were no cool tee-shirts, we gots palm trees and massages near the water.

Ron, I need that special sunscreen, please. Pass it over to my beach chair when you're done lathering up.

It sounds like you had a lot of fun there lil buddy. Smile Awesome.

If I do something which is just okay but I get a T-shirt out of the bargain, I see it as an overall rather positive experience. For example, when I went to the premiere of the movie "Pitch Black" (with handsome Vin Diesel as one of the main guys in it), I won a shirt on my ticket number. On front side it says the title of the movie, and on the other there's a Burger King logo so it's not something you bring to a wedding perhaps hehe, but hey... It's a T-shirt! Smile

And the movie was okay too, so overall, a win-win situation! Smile

That's a winning combination, with or without the t-shirt Smile

We live 45 minutes from the beach so our cars know the way and we just set them on autopilot.

Haha, Lenny......(not something you'd wear to a wedding) I never win anything and then this one time we were all at a Matchbox 20 concert. I looked at my ticket stub, kinda noted that it was 2468 and tossed it. After the show, they started announcing winning numbers and they called 2468. I crawled all over the floor but ewwww. I didn't win their newest CD that Rob Thomas was autographing RIGHT THEN !! I've kept the stubs ever since and won........nothing!! I guess mine was a big fat win/lose situation Smile

I hardly ever win anything either, and I almost missed my shirt when the girl called out the winning seat number. I was expecting NOT to win so I didn't really react until it was almost too late...

Anyway, maybe I can go to a concert too with a b/f in tow, just like our resident lil treehugger, that would be awesome. Smile
