Sometimes there is a total lack of inspriation. Sometimes a rush. And oyu must have missed the fact that the next chapter of "out of the rain" is just posted.

I'm not sure I'm keen on the put down of "high school babble" though. People come here to do what theyneed to do. And maybe some of that is being able to talk to other people in a way that they don't in real life.

What if the way of breaking the ice for someone is what you define as high school babble? And then they go on and help themselves or someone else? But what if they'd been discouraged by a put down? What if they never posted again?

The site isn't really about stories, you see. It's about people. The stories are not the only thing that bring people here.

What makes you think mention was never given?

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

I'm also always on the lookout for new ones. Not a deluge, but a trickle. I don't take all comers, just stories that grab me in some way

Really getting into it

Granted, we're all different, and that's part of what makes this place interesting. But, to be very honest, I've only read a few stories on iomfats simply because I don't have time and don't read much fiction these days, plus, hey, I'm a slow reader! I only read a couple now because I know the author better than others or have some special connection.

To me the people, even when they chitchat, are so much more important than fiction. We are real people with real issues. Granted the stories here I've read so far are fantastic, but there are plenty of story sites out there it seems, and not so many great places to share our thoughts and our lives. Even the jokes and silliness are a way of connecting with each other and brightening each others' day.

I will also say that some of the stories have really touched my heart and have actually brought me to the realization that I was gay, as well as giving me hope on several levels, so I do place great value on them.

Again, we're all different, but I don't have too many r/l friends, and even fewer I can be very open with at this point in my life, so I really value the friendships I've made here.

Speaking of which, welcome back, rob.

I found an author that has written a series of stories called ..5 stories in all and are connected to one another...Her name is Angela Mynah and I have spoken to her.Her address is angela_mynah@msn.com Perhaps she will give permision for these stories to be posted on your site...They are indeed awsome..Should you decide to preview these stories, they are posted on NIFTY STORIES under adult-youth and are not pornographic but you better be sitting down before you read them--they are that good....As your site is not a pay site,it would be ok to post on your site.BTW--with all due respect, the stories a site not its message board but that does help. There are a LOT of good story sites on the web and it makes good sense to mention these other sites....rob

you have always been a good friend Trevor, the reason I place such importance on the stories is that I have lived in a vacuum for so many years and these stories mean so much to me..rob

Everything that Trevor said....

and then some....

I wish I had as many friends in RL as I have made here.... I wish I could have more....

I have never made friends easily. I am not an easy person to be friends with.

But I am willing to try.

I missed you Rob....

You can be very nice when you want to be. I think we both can.

If we try....

I know exactly what you mean.... When I first found Tim's story it was like breaking free from a dark prison....

But there is so much more here than the stories....

There is a family here, a huge farflung family.... and as families do we laugh, cry, fight, kiss and make up, and even get a little silly at times.... It is what families do....

It is called living life.... and with good friends we all can live it to the fullest.... Sometimes when things get a little too silly I just read and refrain from commenting, thinking "this too shall pass" LOL..... and it always does...

After all, we have to let the young pups do a little barking too. If we don't they will always be afraid to leave the porch.

People will immediately point to exceptions and there will be more.

I don't go out of my way to comb the net for authors though. If she approaches me, then fine. If not then fine too.

Anyone submitting work here needs to understand that I say yes very rarely, and that if I say no that is not a rejection, just that it didn't catch myimagination

If so then I will read in a different way from a casual reader. If not then I will read for pure enjoyment. I am not making any promises to host them
