The following things will happen- All beta posts will be deleted
- all beta user ids will be deleted and NO user ids will be carried forward form this board (the old "anyboard" one)
- All old posts will be converted to the new board
- the address will become http://forum.iomfats.org, BUT the old urls will redirect to the new ones
And that will be that.
I know a couple of you are nervous of change. Really the changes are small. The new features need not be used until you are ready, and you will get used to it very easily.
It ought to be much faster. And much easier to use. So, just dive in and see.

USER IDs will carry forward. PASSWORDS will be set to random things, so you will HAVE to use "Forgot password" to get an email with your old password in to be able to continue to use the old ID. You should then CHANGE your password to one of your choice

- The old board will be closed, for about an hour.
- the posts, all of them, will be transferred tothe new board
- the user ids you all have, but NOT the passwords, will be transferred to the new board
- new passwords will be allocated AT RANDOM to each of you with an id, BUT you will not be able to log in, because you do not know what the passwords are
- you will collect your new password by attempting to log in, and by asking the board to send you your password because you forgot it
- if you didn't enter a valid email addess in the profile on the old board, no password can arrive. All is not lost. Email megaman@iomfats.org for help from the email address you want to use on the new board
- The new board will be live as soon as posisble after the old one is closed. We expect to take no more than 90 minutes converting the old stuff.
- The old url will be valid, but will redirect to http://forums.omfats.org. If you have bookmarked the ld one we suggest you alter the bookmark
