The old board will be closed, for about an hour.
the posts, all of them, will be transferred tothe new board
the user ids you all have, but NOT the passwords, will be transferred to the new board
new passwords will be allocated AT RANDOM to each of you with an id, BUT you will not be able to log in, because you do not know what the passwords are
you will collect your new password by attempting to log in, and by asking the board to send you your password because you forgot it
if you didn't enter a valid email addess in the profile on the old board, no password can arrive. All is not lost. Email megaman@iomfats.org for help from the email address you want to use on the new board
The new board will be live as soon as posisble after the old one is closed. We expect to take no more than 90 minutes converting the old stuff.
The old url will be valid, but will redirect to http://forums.omfats.org. If you have bookmarked the old one we suggest you alter the bookmark
There will be anomalies with the "number of times a message has been viewed" for posts migrated from the old board
