Please list them simply below here.
Describe them as well as you can.
No promises. But we have implemented almost all that you have alsked for so far, and this is already the best functional board I have seen online.

Not sure it really NEEDS any of this, but it would be nice to have some of these features, like wether:
* ...a person wants to view threads collapsed or expanded as default, or automatically expand only threads with new posts since last visit.
* ...the board should display a text snippet from the post in the expanded view or not. (Wouldn't mind if it defaulted to off to cut server load and b/w use.)
* ...replies should be done in a popup window or the main view.
* ...the board automatically quotes previous message or not (should default to off IMO, as this can lead to excessive quoting after a bunch of replies if people are sloppy).
* ...the board forwards you to the main message view or to your newly posted message after you click "submit".
* ...you want to hide or show your email address in your messages. Maybe coupled with a "close friends" feature where you can list other members and have your email address show only to them, if it's not too complicated to implement.
Would also be nice to be able to set wether a login should time out automatically after a certain period of time or not.
I'm sure there are more things too. Maybe an option to turn off the 'attach file' thingy, I'm not sure I'm ever going to use that one. Btw, why is there a rather large invisible image called "none.gif" directly above the text field of the file to be attached?
Ok, that's all I can think of at this time. The new board looks great.

it remembers which threads you have open and which closed. exception: threads with new posts always expand. this is also handled by cookie, so if it doesn't work the problem is probably on your side.

we can afford the load and bandwidth

just press the "quote message" button, and there you are. it's unlikely that you want to quote or not to quote ALL messages, so a per user setting doesn't make much sense.

that are global options for the board for us to set, I don't think I want to make it a per-user setting.

check your profile. there is a setting to hide your email address. it defaults to "hidden".

I don't really see the use of this. it times out after a month (I think), and you can logout if you don't want others using the same computer to use your login.

well, either look at the javascript code of that page, too, or just try to upload a file and you will see what the none.gif is for.

I think we need ti turn this to "ticked" as the default. It's easy to remember to untick it, but somehow hard to remember to tick it

It used to be that if you typed something just in the subject box a little (NT) would show up to let people know not to bother opening up the message (since there would not be anything there). Seems that that feature has gone away.

messages that have no text are marked with "(no text)" (after the subject) automatically.
