The "log in issue" goes away the first time you POSt using the id you want to log in with and its password. If not then I will delete this post!

OK I am right.

When I am "not logged in" and I post using my user ID and password, the ACT of posting logs me in.

BUT

The navbar still says "not logged in" and does not refresh automatically. If I refresh the entire page (or just the navbar) then I am logged in.

SO

If we can't resolve the cookie issue, we at least log in automatically when we post correctly. And the cookie issue may well be an IE thing.

The only thing we have to resolve is when to refresh (from the server) the navbar.:-*
