there's so many posts, it's so overwhelming .. it's a bad night tonight and i was compelled to post. i'm not even sure what to say. it's very intimidating to be "new".

i'm a 25 y/o female who probably shouldn't be female. no, i'm not butch, in fact i'm quite feminine .. my 8 y/o daughter, and certain friends think me elven. how flattering, huh? anyway, i have a lot of issues, a lot of baggage, and am no closer to finding out Who I Am than i was when i started that journey ten years ago. i don't want to make this post a huge novel, so i'll do a fast summary: i was majoring in english (prose writing, short fiction, flash fiction, narrative/definition essays), but struggling to publish wasn't paying the bills. i'm enrolled in an EMT/paramedic program that'll finish up spring 2004. i'll save lives while wishing i was someone else, somewhere else.

i don't know what i'm looking for here .. maybe to meet someone, a friend that can go beyond text on a screen, despite vast distances. this sounds so cheesy, doesn't it? i'm sorry. Sad

Hey Girl, I've been to your site "Where Stars Collide"! As I remember I found it in the guest book ages ago.
I don't know that I could do more than to lend my ear for you to wisper into as I am sure any here would be willing to do.
I need to visit your site again, Found some nice prose there. I need to go back and see what you've added.

hey rich, thanks for replying, and wow .. i didn't know anyone ever went to that site, hehe! i actually just updated it today; i added links to other sites i use for characters i play/write.

i took most of my other writing down -- for a time i was trying to submit pieces to lit journals, both online and off, and for the former it stated that any piece they'd take could not be posted/pinned anywhere else online, including personal sites. i just never put them back up yet.

i may take you up on your offer, sometime .. i tend to ramble (can you tell?) and am unsure of what to say, just that .. i have to *say* something. i'm getting tired of my skin and boundaries.

sure thing:

http://www.angelfire.com/space/starchild/thegirl/aych.htm

paste that, and there you go. there's some links below: each character site features a livejournal that i use for both 1st person "character journals" as well as 3rd person snippets. all of those things i write with one other partner. sometimes we play the scenes out and "catch up" write, if you will. so it's not real story writing, so much as just time passing and playing out storylines. like role-playing, but not. it's hard to explain without sounding cheesy. Smile

i don't have any of my actual erotica on the computer, as other people use it from time to time. Smile anything else (essays, short fictions) i'd be willing to email if people were interested. gosh, i sound like a shameless plug, hehe! i don't mean to, it's not why i'm here. i'm working into getting into that, yet. thanks for the interest, though, it's made me smile. Smile

:-*

thank you, M. i'm still wading through a bunch of threads here, to try and backread and catch up (and refrain from two-cent-giving impulses on older posts!), and i've read you here and there already. you seem very caring and wise, and comforting.

hugs and smiles for you,
h.

Sorry you have issues and baggage but this is a really great place to get them out in the open if you want to cause we all do too Cool

In the meantime, pump up the volume on "Save the last Dance", meet me at the diner (turkey on wholewheat~hold the mayo) and we'll discuss B&J to our heart's content ::-)

Good to meet ya ~

We all have a journey of self discovery. Some much longer than others.

My hope for you is that my family (that is what I call my friends here) will help and support you through the process. I know them and I am quite sure we will.

Take your time. We will be here for you. And most of all, remember you're not alone.

Hugs,

Kevin

ahh ahhh!!! i could go on for hours about B&J! i don't actually have showtime but i've rented QAF more times than i can count, and just bought season 1, and hope to get season 2 for christmas. as for the current season, i'm just reading synapses and viewing pictures (and frothing to actually SEE it). man, oh man. all of that just fuels what'll eventually come out here, when i find words, or can make the right ones work.

Hiya ~

I convinced my parents that Showtime has these really great made for tv movies and documentaries Surprised But I still have to tape QAF and watch it later. I did buy both sets of DVDs and have just about worn them out. They're way surreal with no sound at 3 in the morning.

You've read stuff about Season 4 and seen new pics??? Tell where please please please !!

ooops! i meant season 3 still, but season 3 isn't done yet -- i think they're just on episode 14 or so? or that's the last that the showtime site about QAF has up to. they have like, realplayer clips and some pictures for all of season 1 and 2, and then up to episode 14 of 3.

what i meant was that once i have bought season 2 DVD set, i'll have to sit and wait until 3 is done and released, to know what happens. i'd have showtime if i could afford it, but we got rid of premium cable when bills got tight. sadface!!

3 is already on re-running? here is where i go to read up on it:

http://www.sho.com/queer/seasonthree.cfm

it only goes up to episode 14, which is why i thought season 3 was still current/going. and definitely keep me posted! i found out about it late but thankfully can buy at least 2 seasons anyway!
