I came out to my dad today, and he was cool with me being gay!!!!! A bit shocked ofcourse, and will need some time to get used to it, but he was cool with it. I'm so glad right now :)
It's weird, before and while telling him I was SO nervous and then right after he left I had like a million and one 'what if's going through my head, but it's really starting to sink in now. And it makes being gay so much more real all of a sudden. Like it was somehow official, or something.
I still need to tell my mom, and that might be quite a bit messier, but dad's gonna help me with her so it'll be ok in the end, I hope. But right now uni has started for the fall again, the gay student club at the uni is having meetings after summer break (and I'm starting to feel comfortable being there) and I've told my dad. Life is good, and I think this is what being happy is And I know I'm not making much sense right not, but I just wanted to share this with ya now and not in the morning. But I'm off to bed now.

PS. Today was also the first day I told my dad I love him in a way too long time, even if it was on the phone. I hope to start making a habit out of it, though

I'll take some of those hugs, thank you; and give many more right back.
I hope telling your mom goes just as smoothly as telling your dad did (if not smoother); and that you participation in that gay student club is an enriching one for both you and the club.

It sounds like a great weight off your mind.
I am really pleased that your dad seems so accepting - that's wonderful. And good luck with your mom.
Hugs from me too!

Help your parents gently to understand you, and that you are still their little boy. Just the same as you always were.

Coming out can be the most difficult thing you will ever do in your life....
It defines who you are to those that mean the most to you.....
I am so happy it went well and I am sure it will go just as well with your Mom also.... Especially with your Dad in your corner....

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Setras, this is amazing! I'm soooo happy for you and I'm so glad everything worked out with your dad. I'm sure things will go just as well with your mom, too, especially with your dad on your side.
But WOW, this is so totally awesome. Big hugs, man!
Oh oh, and next time we chat, you have to tell me about your vacation last month!! I'm dying to hear the details. ::-)
Hugs and kisses,

Look at this tree. I cannot make it blossom when it suits me nor make it bear fruit before its time [...] No matter what you do, that seed will grow to be a peach tree. You may wish for an apple or an orange, but you will get a peach.
