i hit enter too quickly. what it should have been was "...ouch." and then:

the gay story i'm writing involves a girl. and she's there in the mix. at least now i know i certainly won't submit that one here. perhaps if i would have come here and pretended i had a penis that would've hurt less.

then again, us girls are overly sensitive.

Hey post the story. You are a girl and being a girl is what you know how to be best and plus know about. You write base on what you know, pretending you have penis won't help and won't make it anybetter. Anyways i would love to read about a girl's point of view in a world were society might not accept them. I bet it won't be that much of a difference from a gay story, apart from the obvious. I think gays and lesbians go through the same difficulties.

Don't get discourage and post your story. I'm sure people here will appreciate it.

i have a different story i'm going to submit though, one that's less serious and has more to do with the criteria. it goes with the site, though, it's gay-male related and everything. you'd be surprised how much i know of it, mechanics and mind and heart and otherwise. despite obvious femininity, i was serious when i said i should have been born a boy. there should be smiley icons in there, i'm just too exhausted to move my mouse to click them, heh.

thanks though. and now that i've totally invaded a thread with stuff i shouldn't --

smith, the chapter was very very verrry soul-gutting. i loved it. i promise i won't smack danny around ... yet. i'll wait it out and be patient. insert another smiley here.

i don't know what's more sad: the fact that reading that is like, the second time i smiled today, or that i had to backspace that nine times before deciding to type it, for fear of treading the wrong way.

i never much belonged in tree-houses, anyway. i was more a concrete and grass person.

Can't say I liked it because I loved it. Poor guys, so split apart, both trying to do the right thing by themselves and each other and their friends and their families......This isn't just a story that mirrors real life, ppl....it's real life in a bottle.

The thing about good fiction, or any good story is how much reality you bring to the fantasy, and how much you find yourself identifying with the characters at some level. So for all of you who are a little upset and feeling depressed about how this is turning, remember, not everything is happily ever after, and even that has to go through hell the long way to get there. Enjoy the ride.

Keep going smith, you've already snatched the pebble from whatever master you trained under's hand. Keep flying.

Yes; and just like Jordan, smith also knows what that concept called friendship truly means. We should all take a lesson from both of them on that; but sadly, some of us choose simply to not listen.

Very well said, D'Artagnon!

Stories about your basic gay sex orgy are a penny a pound (and are, in fact, available free of charge at sites like Nifty). The story under discussion here is on a much (much) higher plane of meaning and quality than all those other stories put together.

One minor quibble, though: one cannot teach how to write a story like this. A story like this must come from straight from the heart (which is exactly where this one comes from).

Nifty has some pretty good stories if you look for them, and as I recall,Nifty was pretty much the pioneer in gay fiction.many guy writers got their start there.....rob
