we have a thread for sad songs, which is astounding ... but i'd like to know what you all listen to when you're happy, or what songs are the sorts that are able to lift your mood up into the atmosphere.
here's a few of mine:
"in the middle" -- jimmy eat world
"rain king" -- counting crows
"hybrid moments" -- the misfits
"i did it" -- DMB
pretty much anything by X and social distortion rile me up, but then that also borders on rage release (punk), so uh. haha!

"Picture Postcard Day" by Ian Anderson from his album Secret Language of Birds
People will tell you where they've gone
They'll tell you where to go
But till you get there yourself you never really know
Where some have found their paradise
Other's just come to harm

OK, I'm probably dating myself; but, here goes:
"I Can See Clearly Now" by Johnny Nash (oh, does the volume get turned up when that comes on the car radio!).
"I Should Have Known Better", "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" and "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles (to mention just three from among many by the Fab 4 that fall into this category).
"Calypso" by John Denver.
And last but not least (for now!): "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel (yeah, I know, I mentioned this in the other thread; but it belongs here as well).
We do not remember days...we remember moments.
