Do you recall the site redesign contest?
Well we declared a winner. His name is M EH, and we're about to add his credit for the design concept to the site, plus an email address soon for you to say "Awesome job". He's a professional designer, and he's given his time and brainpower free.
If you are a webmaster of a commercial site, as soon as we have the credit link to him, maybe a note to ask if he wants a commission would be good! A paid commission! We're double checking the email address he'd like listed at present, hence the lack of credit so far.
We've piloted the design ONLY in the stories section so far. It is the toughest section to do, so we did the hardest first. And we're celebrating with the release of the next "Just Hit Send" chapter. which smith sent me this morning.
I don't want you to think this design change has been simple. Megaman has been slaving hard to get this to work and liaising with M EH a great deal to ensure that the design concept, style sheets and the rest turn into a reality. We have a great team behind the site. My thanks to them both.

first off, i love the site design -- it's so much easier to navigate, and looks amazing. i love the corner picture.
secondly: i think i broke my tailbone bouncing with excitement after reading ch. 10! okay, kidding -- but only mildly. you're great, smith.
my void does not want.

Thanks for the 404 error, that was neat. Great format, I only have one request. Can we get the 'Next Chapter' link back?

...the pink, if it goes away entirely.
One little thing would be nice to have, which is a "new" icon in front of an author's name that stays for maybe a week when there's a new story published from that author, and a link on the other side of the author's name to the bio provided one has been provided. *cough* *ahem*.
Just a thought. Not sure how difficult the new-icon is to implement, maybe it's a lot of bother, but I think it would give more attention to stories as they get posted.
Overall it looks very neat and tidy I have to say with really nice and clean colors, and the pics are so lovely too heheh. Thanks a lot M Eh, Timmy and Megaman! Hugs for all of you!

404s will die away as caching evaporates.
The design of chapter links is fluid, though at present we think that the header bar may well be enough.

but those links at the bottom of each chapter seemed to help the flow of reading straight through (no pun intended ;-D )
It's not so big a deal if your reading the chapters one at a time. I did find it easy when reading a story that is completed.
Thanks,
Kevin
