Whether you read my story or not is of no matter. You are all my wonderful friends. I am rather private within myself and JHS is a way of letting alot of hurt go.

Please don't discuss the story or the characters on the MB. Tim's synopsis was right on the $$$ but the ensuing conversations and my friends having to defend me or my faith or my characters was sad.

Rob ~ I have no idea whether you are clueless as to how you hurt people or if you do it on purpose, but just that one thread hurt me. Please don't do it again. I need to finish this story...it's important to me. In all your statements about how no one has suffered like you have, I have to say very loudly, "Yes, Rob, we have."

Your story is the hardest to read I have ever read and the easiest to read, and yet it is handling a truly ordinary topic. It just does it in an extraordinary way.

I feel you have given us your heart.

I want you to know I am behind you 100%. I am tired of name calling and personal attacks. They fly in the face of the title of this place.

Thank you for sharing your story with us. It touches me deeply. You are truely gifted.

Your friend for life,

Thank you for your post...it ties in what I had tried to say in mine. No one's brand of suffering is worse than another because to everyone their suffering is painful! When someone says 'I hurt more than you!' to me that says they are better than another person which just isn't true. People should all be equal regardless of background.
Take care of yourself!

a story:

once i tried to explain that concept to someone; they were troubled and in lots of pain, and i offered a shoulder earnestly, and for weeks they turned it down. finally i all but implored to know why, because it hurt to watch them fall farther and farther, and he said, "well i know that what i'm dealing with doesn't even compare to what you have gone through." and i was stunned, because i never said anything of the sort, in fact stayed away from that to go all out for him. i said, "everyone's hell is personal: one person's hell could be another's heaven, but that heaven might be a third person's hell, et. al. and on and on it goes." he hadn't ever thought of it that way ... and finally let me help ...

it's very refreshing and reassuring to see that other people think that, and realise that as well. no one's pain is beyond another's, or more founded or valid -- we can empathise, and we can relate, but we'll never know just what one person is grappling with. we don't know how hard it truly is. we don't know what runs through their mind just seconds before falling asleep at night, but we all know we have things that run through our mind before we fall asleep at night. we are all equal, there are no scales and balances for things like this.

love for all,
h.
