In my religion we are entering into a period of solemn introspection and atonement for things we have done wrong. This does not mean only 'sins' between us and God, but also - and mainly - for the way we have sinned against other people. This period starts next Friday evening and will end on Monday evening ten days later.
Since - again, in my religion - I cannot obtain God's forgiveness for my sins against others until I have obtained the forgiveness of the offended parties, it is customary to approach people we are in contact with and to ask their forgiveness for anything we may have done to upset them. It is expected that this person will be gracious and forgive - and ask for mutual forgiveness.
It is in this climate of forgiving that I suggest that my post here be taken as a request by everybody for everybody's forgiveness:
If we have hurt anybody on this Message Board we are truly sorry and hope that they will forgive us and that we can start anew. If you do NOT respond to this message that will be taken as your assent and your request to be included. Only if you want to be counted out, respond. After this, please - no more discussions about hurting and hating. It's easy to hate, hard to love - but much, much more worth the effort.
Oh, and also - forgive me for being 'preachy' again :-[ .

and goes without saying that the acceptance is favorable. In turn, please accept my humble request to you.
FYI: Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) begins Sept 26.

That is part of my spirituality too. Funny how that works.
Thank you so much,
