What is the impetus behind the choosing of screen names?
How did you choose yours?
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

quite simple. i'm a girl, a rather feminine girl, and yet i don't think i should be a girl at all, with the things i think, and like .. physically, or don't like physically for myself. that would make me misplaced. i'm misplaced pretty much everywhere in life. i'm a good method-actress. plus i like the movie/book "girl, interrupted" and so used that as the 'format' if you will.
my void does not want.

My screen name is my best attempt to spell my High School nickname. Pretty banal, huh? I just thought it sounded kinda' spunky.
-Machelli (pronounced mah-chell-lee)

Mine comes from an inside joke between my brother and his best friend (who might as well be related to us) about my shortish height (I'm 5'4). It stands for Chocolate Oompa Loompa. The chocolate is just there because it makes ch.oo.lo sound/look cool and because of my skin color. the end

Hello?! Three Musketters, by Alexandre Dumas Ring any bells?
heheh, but that's just the crazy in me talking. Heck, you wonder about such screen names all the time, don't you. I mean, where do you get things lik SammyKatStryes, or DaisyFreek 202 from, or why would anyone call themselves Samourai Smack?
guess it's just a case of individuality at work.

Does any one ever have a "prepared" screen name?
Or do they just pop out out of momentary panic when it is asked for?
And to you D'Artagnon..... New England? Where? Ive lived in Boston, Hyannis, South Yarmouth, P-Town, Mashpee (no jokes), and Providence R.I.

I used to live in Haverhill, Massachusetts. That's Hay-ver-ull, not Have-rr-hill. I was born in Kittery, Maine; home to every outlet mall in the known universe (I used to get lost in the Kittery Trading Post, I love the outdoors). I used to make frequent trips to Boston, Salem NH, Salem MA, Cape Anne, Glouster, Amherst, Springfield, Agawam, Worster, Dracut, Salisbury (Center is awesome in summer), York Beach ME, and Kittery ME, Newburyport and Andover, and I once worked out of Hampton NH, and Wilmington MA. I skied practically every mountain skiable along the Kangamangus Highway, up by North Conway NH, and would occassionally go over to Lawrence and Lowell MA for stuff, espeically for concerts and hockey matches at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell. I also lived in Lake Hurst New Jersey, Patuxant River Maryland, Florida (three separate times now), Rhode Island (Quonset Point, I think) and near Ceba, Puerto Rico. My parents are originally from Haverhill, and, well, being a military brat, you travel. Lots.....sometimes too much.
