Timmy, could you please put a notice somewhere prominantly about the time limit in writing new posts? I heve just again had a long post deleted by time limit expiring, and don't right now have the urge or the time to write it again.

It's really annoying, as well as perhaps keeping people from posting interesting thoughts.

i've had that happen twice, when i'm trying to figure out wordings, or the like. if anything, you could type your post up in word or something, and then paste it when you're ready to post? i've wound up doing that when i feel it's going to take me a bit to get a post written, and want to be sure.

livejournal likes to do that to me, too, sometimes! Smile

Unless your machine has some sort of a time limit? I left the post window open for over half an hour. I ran out of time before it did.

It has none that we can see in the software. So all we can think of is it is yout connection that has timed out.

What symptoms (precisely) do you get?

The reply screen disappeared without warning, and a message appeared that said the time limit had expired. It was in the same color scheme as the rest of the site lay-out.

It has only happened to me this one time.

If you can duplicate it and take a screen dump of the error? (alt/prt Screen), and email me the pic as a jpg file? Or post it here?

I cannot duplicate this. I waited 45 minutes and failed to duplicate it
