Hi guys!
I'm back! ;-D
How're we all doin?
Hope everything's okay! Sad)

Our sem break's just started (yeah, I know- 'just now?!!!') And so far... it's hard living day after day especially if you don't see the one person you like. Smile I kinda miss school. (yeah right!) ;-D Well, it's better that I don't see Stephen for the moment. However... absence STILL DOES make the heart grow fonder... :-/

So I emailed my bestfriend far away (he's a guy too- the very 1st one to know about me bein' gay and all that) and he told me to play this MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game--- WHEW!) called "RAGNAROK" so that I could certain things off my mind.

It's a really great game 'cause you get to choose your job (mage, acolyte, swordsman, thief, archer, merchant) and get to interact with a lot of strangers and party-up with them so you have a better chance at beating the monsters and leveling up. Shadow (my best friend's codename) taught me how to play and he gave me some of his equipments (armor and weapons and items and stuff). It's amazing 'cause we're both far from each other (physically) yet it seemed like we were actually... THERE! Sad)

I'm thankful for him 'cause before... my mind was all... "Stephen, Stephen, Stephen". Now, it's all "Ragna, Ragna, Ragna!" Heh-heh! ;-D ;-D ;-D I'm getting addicted to it. (I feel my pocket burning though!) But it's worth 'cause it makes me forget all my problems and get to meet new friends.
Just this morning, I played and got to meet this 16yr old novice (that's what he said) and he asked for help 'cause his character was low on health. I happen to be an acolyte (with an ability to heal)- so I healed him for free. (Other aco's charge zeny, y know?) Then, we partied up and was later joined by a mage who made it a lot easier. It's fun! ^_^

Well... some of you may not know much about games... I guess the point here is that... at times when we're low- I guess we should at least have a little fun rather than sulk in a corner and cry. ;-D

And also, thank God for best friends.
They real treasures- we all better take good care of 'em. :-):-)SmileCool

If you guys ever encounter "Ragnarok",
I recommend you try it.

Just be warned, it's very addicting.
Also, while you're INSIDE the game, be careful.
While there may be friends out there- there ARE also people
who take advantage of newbies like some empty-headed
high level players. Anyway- just so you can see the pics- here they are! Sad)

PIC1
This is the usual Ragnarok (RO) hang-out setting. There are certain places where lots of people hang out, take a break, chat with other people or trade items. In the chat window below, "Pa-heal po plzzzzz..." is a very popular line addressed to acolytes (ehem! like myself ;-D)

PIC2
Same situation, different place. "Pa-tank po plzzz..." is also very common- usually addressed to high level players (experts). When two people "tank", that means the expert hits the monster first (hence, the expert is the one that will receive damage) while the newbie finishes it off and gets the exp (necessary for leveling up)

PIC3
I'll just translate the dialogue. ^_^
Twisted-Knight: sama ako (i'll go with you)
sadako2: pengeng nang mage weapon (can I ask for a mage weapon?)
Twisted-Knight: party sma ako (party me up, i'll go with you)
Zero Hunter: sama ako (me too)

Well... that's it! Heh-heh! WTH am I doing?
Okay, enough with Ragnarok! Just wanted to introduce it. ^_^

I know what it's like to be absorbed in a computer game, I haven't played any mmorpgs (and those chars in your screenshots were kinda...umm... over-cute, heh heh! Not very Vikingy at all, lolol!), but I have played about a million hours of Diablo 2, and when you have a good party going where people work together to combine their strengths it is an awesome game. It's not so fun on your own, I got tired of that pretty soon, but with help from a few good friends - you're right in saying those needs to be cherished and taken care of - it becomes SO much fun.

Of course, there's your usual bunch of bassholes that tries to rip off newbs, steal or cheat people out of their equipment or generally screw stuff up by joining a random game, go hostile on everybody and try to kill as many as possible (usually much weaker characters) and make everybody angry and upset. Heh, well such is life I guess. We have to take the good with the bad. Smile

Btw, there was a guy from the Philippines in my class from grades 5 (when I moved south from way up in Sweden) to 9, he was REALLY cute. Smile He was adopted from a very early age though, so apart from his looks he was just as Swedish as the rest of us. Haven't seen him in like fifteen years though, I have no idea where he went off to.

Take care now, in real life and in the game. Smile

Hi Lenny!
I guess you and I share a lot of common interests! Cool
Anime... games... and BOYS! Heh-heh! ;-D;-D;-D

If I were to sum it all up, I'd have spent almost half an entire lifetime playin' videogames. I don't know why... but they just make me forget all my problems. Sort of a temporary shelter so I can cool off my mind. After playing, I tend to think a lot better. ^_^

Diablo 2's a lot of fun too!
I hope one day, there'll be a server that could connect the entire world inside one game without lagging it too much. Sounds impossible, but who knows? With the kind of technology we have today, we can't really tell. Heck, nobody knew the internet was possible back then! If that time comes, maybe we can meet each other online! ;-D That sounds like a lot of fun! That's what my friend and I did and although we haven't seen each other for about 5 years, it's like we still "see" each other everyday!

Hmm... I wonder who this guy from Sweden was...
Coincidentally, I also had a teacher from Sweden once! Well, half and half.
But she said she was from Sweden. She said Sweden is a really great place. I'd love to visit it one of these days.

Well you take care too!
Heh-heh! Don't worry- I won't die in the game much.
I can heal myself! Wink

I'm pretty sure Kaisuke's gay and in love with Kaneda, but of course HE only has eyes for Kei... ::-) Silly boy! Tetsuo's really hot nekkid, hee hee, but HE only has eyes for Kaori. Silly boy #2!

Like they say, all the good ones are str8! Sad)
Oh well, Kaisuke's really cute too. Wink

Know which manga I'm talking about without googling it? Cool

Speaking of computer games btw, I was up wayyyy too late/early yesterday (today, really) playing Morrowind, my little gay wood elf is at last starting to become decent. He's level 11 now and his skills are getting there. He's got a dwarven crossbow, and I'm training his sneak ability so he can steal that Daedric longbow that hangs in the fletcher woman's shop without them noticing. Smile How to sneak? I just stand in her shop with my watch lying down on the keyboard pressing down the sneak button (right shift) and I train it that way! Very Happy

Yeah, I know. Really cheap, but so what? It works! I assumed I would have to MOVE at the same time to actually gain in the skill, but stationary sneaking works just as well. In a similar fashion I can train my light armor skill by getting rats to attack me, and with a shield in the other hand I train block at the same time. More rats = faster gain in the skill.

Magic is too hard for me right now, even a simple heal spell only works in less than one in five castings, and before I let a wizard train my mysticism skills I had a whopping EIGHT percent chance to succeed with my mark and recall spells. You only get experience when you succeed with something (which is kinda backwards), so training my alchemy and enchantment skills to make my own potions and enchanted items would be horribly slow. Need to find a teacher first, but I also need to find more junk to sell for gold. I'm almost out of cash now. Smile

Not sure I'm strong enough to take on a daedric temple yet, you get tons of nice junk in those, but the monsters are baaaad. Smile With my last guy, I could hack my way through those places easy, but he had glass armor and a daedric wakizashi, which is the best light armor and best short sword. Now all I have is a glass dagger (which quickly loses its edge) and some dark brotherhood armor. There's a distinct LACK of good light armor in the game. Glass armor can be bought only at one place in the game to my knowledge, at Ghostgate near the center of the map and very few enemies have glass armor. Daedra at the shrines or some particulary strong monsters in the wild wear either ebony or daedric armor, so once you kill those you can pick up and wear in case you're a big bad Nord fighter d00d, but little tiny wood elves are scroowd. Smile We want to be quick and nimble, so heavy armor isn't good for us.

Guess after I am done in Vivec down south, I have to pass through Ghostgate to pick up some glass equipment. I mean pick up, LITERALLY, a cuirass costs at least fifteen thousand gold, probably more, so my sneak-training should pay off. Smile Glass looks SO purty on me btw. Very Happy Of course, I'm dressed in an exquisite robe (with an exquisite skirt underneath, and same with pants, belt and shirt), so the armor doesn't really show. Just the helmet, really.

Btw, Morrowind IS a nice game for those interested in trying a roleplaying game. It's nice because you're not forced to do things in any particular order, in fact you don't even have to do the main quest at all, you can just hunt through ruins, grave sites and wizard towers if you want like some kind of Indiana Jones and sell all the loot, or you could gather components for alchemy out in the wild and sell or make your own stuff and sell, do side quests, join a Great House and do quests for them, join guilds left and right and do THEIR quests etc. It is a BIIIIG game.

There is a "Game of the Year" edition with the original game + the two expansions all in one available. I haven't bothered with the expansions yet, they're meant for high-level characters. I'm gonna do the original quests first and get a bad-ass character. Smile

It's a little buggy, and sometimes you get annoyed at it (like when you need to go to sleep and rest because you're almost dead and get awakened by yet another assassin and get killed by him), but that can be forgiven. It's easily one of the most absorbing games I've ever played.

Ok, I'm done now, heh.
