yeeeah. fall term isn't even over yet, and i need a break already.

since it's fun to stress out college students to maximum potential, they've decided that hey! it'd be real neat to make phlebotomy majors take both phle I and II IN THE SAME TERM!!! I is a pre-requisite for II, but hey, why not make the student take both, and II starts on a monday, and I on a wednesday, so guess what?! you'll be in the integrated class BEFORE the basic!! sweet!!

we'll also force you, because they are Only Offered At Certain Times, to take Intro to Disease, and Pathogenic Controls at the same time, too! for good measure we're going to throw in First Aid, Legal Concepts to Hospitals and Medical Practice, and awww! just for giggles even though you don't need it, take word processing! but we won't let you test out of that one, oh no. it's more fun to attend the class.

i am sitting on 19 credit hours in a 10 week term, jan-march. the only good news i got was that when i start phle III (externship) in the spring, i don't HAVE to do my ACTUAL 120 hours of work until summer (ie: working in the hospital and/or blood drives). so i may walk with my class then work in the summer and pray they hire me after 120 hours is over.

i would like to thank kevin for dealing with my on the phone, where i ran to after finding all this out, so that i could cry like an idiot girl, and also panic to the point of troubled breathing. i'd have to have seen that stint without medication. :-/

now, i can't find the person online i would like to talk to and haven't in a couple days, else i'm going to think he hates me, because i haven't had a chance to recalibrate after Panic Fest '03, #453248 today.

i haven't even begun to think of the homework load with 19 credits. luckily the I and II are *mostly* labwork... Surprised

you helped calm me down, which in turn meant i didn't skip anatomy like i was planning on doing, which means i have the 19 pounds of notes for tuesdays exam. Surprised Very Happy

that's more than enough. i have the weekend to decide whether to take the full load or cut it back and finish a term late.

I'd like to think though that if anyone can do this, you can. You're such an intelligent, talented girl, you got the strength. I know you do! Smile

Many e-hugs for you, okay? Smile

Will be thinking of you:

First, let me just say that there is nothing so daunting as looking at the next semister. One that carries 19 credit hours..... You have my admiration.

What I can offer in real time is a bit of support and encouragement and whatever help I may be able to offer.

thank you. Smile

i had a long talk with both parental unit and the grandparents, about childcare (since 3 of these classes end at strange times that conflict with daycare pick-up) and so the consensus is that ... eek. yeah, i'm taking all of it. it means my spring term will be a light load (13 credits, like this one, which was/is maddening but i seem to be handling it okay), especially if i do my externship hours in the summertime, like they said is a good idea.

there's also talk of the possibility of, later on, going BACK to school again to go further. if i can manage to get my job at the hospital here, they PAY for you to go to school, on the grounds that you agree to be employed there for i think 5 years minimum. hey, job security, i say. so then i'd go on for either an associates in lab services, or lab *something* (so that i get to play with and test and analyse the blood i, for now, will just draw/contain/label), which'll be a better position, better paying, etc. techs are like the low end of all totem poles, but it's still going to pay better than anything *i* have had, so i'm not complaining like many others seem to be.

but that'd be like, one or two classes here and there, given a full time job and mom-things and all. i know i don't have to rush now, but i just want this done. hopefully i can keep the GPA i have when winter term starts, hee.

anyhoo, i'm doubling my reply to you as an update, hehe! thanks for your support though, i do appreciate.

onward, onward... except i think i'm going to bed super early tonight. i overexercised yesterday, and my muscles were sore today from my glutes down to like, my ankles i swear, and then my bi/triceps and chest. so of course i exercise again today, anyway, though not as LONG as yesteday ... and now i can barely walk DOWN the stairs (though up is easier) and i walk like a gimp.

tomorrow will be pilates so i can super-stretch. i used to be able to exercise without the immobilising pain, alas alas! Smile

okay now that i've totally wandered topic with like, super-tired babble, i'll stop for real! Sad)
