On the good side she seems stronger than after the previous two times. On the bad their are six major cuts with at least ten stitches each (one has 22). Also this one cost more than double what the previous two put together.

That is a case of really bad timing for me, but at least she seems OK.

My hope is this is the last one. It is heartbreaking for me each time I drop her at the vets. Though they do take very good care of her while she is there.

So many emotions ...
>Sad Very Happy :'-( Confused?? :-/

Love someone unconditionally today,

Kevin

Sometimes it amazes me what we do for our pets, but they become so much a part of the family that I can't imagine doing otherwise.

Is it Shadow?? I know she'll be okey dokey Smile Just baby her when she comes home.

Working at the vets, I see some of the sweetest, loviest things. Non-animal lovers just can't understand the feelings we have for out pets. I've had people bring their little animals in if their noses are wet/dry, if they have a splinter, if they break a tooth or a nail..sometimes they say that little Mopsie just "looks funny". We treat every "emergency" the same way. Animals are huge stress relievers and so many of these people are lonely and this is their best friend. My boss doesn't charge lots of times and we put "bandaids" on just like little kids. We've even had people sit there all night with their dog or cat if they have to spend the night. (I've done it too :-/ )

Oh............animal news bulletin ! My new dog Randy is in love with Big J, my cocker spaniel and I suspect that J returns the interest. I have "Gay Dogs" hahahahaha !!!

Thanks JAMS, it's not Shadow, it's my dog Gehngis. (strange name for a female I know) Even though she is 11 years old, she is still my baby. I love her so much.

Thanks again,

Kevvy

The one time I had surgery (and it was nothing compared to what she's had to go through!), I got sick as a dog from the drugs they used to put me to sleep. I hope your poor doggie won't have to go through the same, because that was Awful.

I wish for a speedy and Permanent recovery! Hope your baby's up and bouncing about like dogs should do in no time! Smile

Hugs, Kevin... Hope everything will be okay now.

Take care my friend, of you, and of her. Smile

Dogs are god's way of making sure we still have a bit of the angelic, the humble, the loving, the dependant and the divine in our lives, Kevin. Why else do you think the word dog is just god spelled backwards? ;-D Cool

Seriously, though, I do hope Genghis pulls through okay. Just remember that as much as you need her, she's gonna need you that much and more for the next little bit. I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.

And give Genghis and the rest of her pack a good, long ear rub from the rest of us, I'm sure they'll enjoy it.

Wish her luck for me.

You said when you'd die that you'd walk with me every day
And I'd start to cry and say please don't talk that way
With the blink of an eye the Lord came and asked you to meet
You went to a better place but He stole you away from me
