The sad face did not do the story justice. They were happy tears. Summerfire was a beutiful story that tugged and ripped at my heart as I read. To author ten, Bravo!

It touched me in many ways as strongly as the last one, just in a different way.

I wonder how much of my emotions are from my own life (or lack thereof) or do they just come from the story itself. How can an author touch me so deeply. I am amazed.

Again, many thanks to all the authors who contributed, I only have one more story to go.

I will let you know how that one goes too.

Love to all of you,

Kevin

Getting started

Every once in a while someone here posts of his or her desires, wants, needs or dreams. This is why we all spend some time here.

We look at the world and see all the things going on all around us and sometimes we get a little smothered by all the chaos. It is no wonder that sometimes we feel so alone.

I just spent a few minutes to read this story myself and came upon a line, it said,

"This can't be happening. No one finds this. No one gets this chance. I thought about my dads and realized that I was wrong. Some few people do."

That struck a nerve for me. See, it does happen. It is out there. Even though life flys by so fast it all seems to be just a blur, It's there.

All you have to do is be willing to take that giant step. Take that chance. Granted it is a leap of faith and there is always the chance of being hurt or of hurting. All I can say is that it is definately worth the risk.

I have been truely lucky in my life. I won the brass ring twice.

One is the lonliest number.

FWIW, Kevin I agree with both your judgements. Stories 8 and 10 are both magnificent.
