I'd love to see the inside. And maybe in color. I really love the chimney in front. A fireplace in the bedroom would be cool (ok, maybe it would be hot).
Think good thoughts,

Lots of fireplaces, 12 steep steps, double front doors. I'd want that high high room behind that little window. It makes me think of a Harry Potter house Cool photo....did you take it, Andy?

Andy, I kid you not, there is a house very similar to this in my hometown, the one I fictionally call Canterbury, Massachusetts in my stories. A lot of the older victorian homes in the town share common features with this one, but I'm talking about a house on what was once called Manor Row, with the wrought iron fences, covered porch surrounding the ground floor and everything. It brings back memories of where I truly belong.
It takes a good eye for an artist or photographer to find an image that gets to another person's heart, even if it's not the way the creator of the work originally intended for it to. And while part of me is kinda sad that the oldest building around where I live is the original town post office and this place's sense of history is limited to notorious gun slingers and a bare bones farming port town of the civil war era, seeing that there are still places where life has gone on for a long, long time, and where tradition still matters gives me hope.
Oh sure, it's kinda a dark house in black and white. But it's the details that count. And you know what? Just like the other posters here have already said, there's enough in just this one shot to make a lot of us think about real estate. Awesome Job, Andy. Full Marks.
It's not the wolf you see you should fear, but all the ones he howls with. Don't be afraid of the song, but don't piss off the choir.

Good composition, using the walkway to lead the eye up to the gate and front entrance. Nice contrast between the gate pillars and the darkness of the schrub and porch. Interesting conflict on the second story between the chimneys and light colors. Was this taken on an overcast or sunny sauny? I assume slightly sunny as the windows reflect light.
Overall a picture which which contains the necessary elements: focus, contrast, and interesting subject matter. In photography class this would probably rate a B+ or A-.
Good job, Andy!
Hugs, Charlie
