Seems rare to me to be so off on an English word, but I really misunderstood the meaning of 'visceral'.
I have heard the word used to show distaste, to describe speech as nasty or mean. But when I looked the word up in three different dictionaries it didn't mean that at all.
Have any of you hear that word used like that?

Nope.......I always think of visceral as having to do with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies >>haha<< If something is visceral, it tends to get you in the gut like bad pizza or cruelty. :-/

Viceral.... relating to viceria.
Viceria.... viscus.
Viscus or viscosity is the thickness of a liquid as it is being poured.
An archaic form of english would deem the usage as meaning 'thickness of tongue', in effect, speech that is caustic and abusive, hard to roll past the tongue so to speak.
I guess letters in early english literature is worth something.
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Thanks, I could not find Caustic speech or anything like it in any of three major dictionaries that I searched. I am glad someone has heard of that usage.
Thought I was just losing my grip on reality.
And silly smith: you slay me.
Love to all,
Kevin
