and stopped back home today to say hello to you all and tell you I miss being able to talk to you every day. Let me explain, if I may...

First of all, I am a sales rep. in the Midwest, and I travel a lot. I have been given a bunch of new job duties in preparation for my promotion to management (of course there is no more money yet !!!), which is taking a whole bunch of time to complete... like 70 hours a week most weeks.

Second, I met a wonderfully fantastic man named Greg. He is everything in a man I could have ever wanted... no exageration. We are together most days, and when we aren't, we talk. I tell you, it is better dating at 40 than it was at 20... what an experience !!!!

Now a little encouragement to my still (unfortunately) closeted family. Until last Thursday, December 18, I was closeted (yes WAS). My mom is visiting me from Phoenix, and we had lunch with my "friend" Greg (the one mentioned above). She noticed him and I flirting with each other at lunch... which was just us probably looking at each other "that way" when you are in a relationship. We were very much respectful of her being there, but I guess there are some things you can't really hide. She made a few comments to me after lunch about him being very handsome (he has incredibly beautiful eyes !!!), and how she liked my gay friends. When we got home, we continued our conversation, and I said to her "Mom, as my mom, I want you to know that I am gay. Always have been, and always will be." She said "I don't care what you are. Why would I give a damn? You are just my son." I about lost it, because my eldest brother Brian was ostracized from our family for being gay, and die of complications from AIDS... and here was my mom saying she totally accepted me. Then, she asked me "Does this mean Greg is my son-in-law?" I about died right there.

Now my family, I say all that to say that it can be good. I encourage you all to be very cautious, but when you come out... I can only encourage you to do it when it is just 'right' to do so. I just knew it was time to come out to my mom, and it happened.

I just want to say again, how blessed I am that you are all here. That we are all here, and that I have missed you all and will try to keep in touch more frequently.

Be good, and Peace, Hugs, Kisses, and Warm Rays of Sunshine to all of you !!!

What a beautiful message - especially after the 'brain washing' I got earlier today. Lucky, lucky you!

Best wishes, and good luck!!!

You said when you'd die that you'd walk with me every day
And I'd start to cry and say please don't talk that way
With the blink of an eye the Lord came and asked you to meet
You went to a better place but He stole you away from me

I spent the day today with my kids and my brother, his wife, their kids and my mom who is still here with us.

The first thing my daughter asked when she got in my car is "Dad, now tell me... are you gay? I need to know." Which began a series of conversations and things that never were concluded through conversation. I will finally finish the conversation with them this weekend. They will know for sure all about me by weeks end, and then life will go on with it's new 'openness'.

My new found love, Greg, is completely behind me, and has so much insight into so many things... it is great to know him and be known by him.

Thank you all for so many well wishes... I wish you as well the best of holidays and love, warmth and peace. Take care of yourselves, and I hope to talk to all of you soon !!!!!!

Love, Hugs, Peace and Sunshine....
