Man and I will go to our favorite restaurant for a wonderful meal with fabulous wine and great company (a friend from the US is still visiting, and we love him heaps).

Then we'll go to a party at one of the posh resorts that has a snow-making machine...some of you may remember that we try and do this every year, as of course snow in South-east Asia is completely odd and exciting.

Then for the after hours party, to our favorite gay watering hole with a lot of our friends, and dancing until the wee hours, when many of the rest of you will just be getting up to start your celebrations.

Have a great time, everybody, and tell us what all you'll be up to as well!Smile Surprised ::-)

Still trying to figure that out. But the Tappas bar down the street sounds like a great place to start.

After that, who knows.... hehe

Happy New Year all,

Watch movies, and eat.

You said when you'd die that you'd walk with me every day
And I'd start to cry and say please don't talk that way
With the blink of an eye the Lord came and asked you to meet
You went to a better place but He stole you away from me

i was supposed to go to/be in a drag show (yup, they were letting girls dress up there, too), and there's still a small chance i'll go, except my throat re-swelled up today when i thought it was starting to clear up and dry out (coughing lots of icky up). now i've a fever again. it's viral, whatever i have, so they can't give me the antibiotic surprise that always makes one feel better in a day.

so it looks like i'll be staying in and toasting the new year with chocolate milk in wine glasses, with my daughter who's also sick, instead of in pinstripes and a fedora. which is fun, yes, but for one time i'd like to go OUT on new year's. maybe in 2005. Smile

whatever everyone else is doing, be safe. if you're drinking, have a designated driver; be sure and drink lots of water, also. be responsible.

Absolutely nothing....

Taken to the nth degree....

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Well, it's 9:10 pm now, and I still have no plans, so I think it looks like I'm joining Marc in doing nothing. I guess I'm reflecting on the past year, if that counts... I might do something with my room-mates, I dunno... My birthday, Christmas, the new year.. Exactly a week between each and living in Japan has made each of them equally disappointing, I think. I'll definately be home for this time, next year.

I banged on a gong, put some money in a box and did the whole Japanese thing with some Japanese friends and my room-mates. It wasn't very big, but it was still nice, better than nothing, I guess.

Which one?

it seems i'm going to the show after all. no, i'm certainly NOT better (and i think i have pinkeye? or well, "viral" conjunctivitis which isn't the SAME as pinkeye, really...), but i found that if i take a cotton swab with the lidocaine i am supposed to gargle, and swab the back of my throat and sides of throat with it, it goes TOTALLY numb.

but with all the cold meds i've been on, i'm guaranteed not to drink, which is also good. i've never been the one to be the designated driver before. this'll be new.

and if it doesn't hurt, then i'm fine. out of sight = out of mind, you know the routine!!!

and since i have a working cam, i'm going to take pictures!!! well, before i leave, since i really can't take it with me. so if anyone wants to see "The Outfit" i can post it later, or email it. Smile

happy new year and be SAFE everyone!!!

Not a famous one, there are many in Japan, countless-type many. If you know of Myoken Mountain, though, I shall eat my hat (although I lack a hat)...

Unless there is another mountain of the same name there. The place I went is near the Hyogo/ Osaka prefectural boundary, in the Nose region. I live in Kawanishi which is the first city in Hyogo coming from Osaka and sort of on the boundary of Hyogo/ Osaka/ Kyoto, I only went locally, wasn't really in the mood for a 9 hour train ride to Southern Kyushu, though it might have been interesting...

I'm pretty familiar with the Kyoto region. (Geographicly)
