Hi, i'm new here, but have been reading the stories for a while. I wrote part of a story, and attached it to this. I never have written any stories before, so It might suck. But if you want to read it, go ahead, and tell me what you think.

Welcome to the board!

You said when you'd die that you'd walk with me every day
And I'd start to cry and say please don't talk that way
With the blink of an eye the Lord came and asked you to meet
You went to a better place but He stole you away from me

Welcome aboard, Mate.

I'm sure we'd all like to see more writers here. I know that most of the writers who post here a lot tend to look at each other's work and make comparisons and check out another writer's perspective, style and technique. smith wont admit it publicly, but he's one of the best writers here, so take his advice to heart. He's dead on right; if it comes from your head and your heart working together, it's never totally wrong. It's the story and emotion that counts.

We're also a clannish bunch. Always ready to lend a hand, bend an ear or just share a moment with all our friends at this MB. Feel free to jump in and join the discussions or ask questions. Nothing's too silly for this crowd, LOL. Just Kidding Guys.

So welcome to the board, Dan. Cya round.

Like the others, I wish to extend a warm welcome to you. Stay a while and share your day with us, the good, and also the bad if you need to.

Hope to be seeing more of you in the future!

Take care:

We can always use more stories and even better, more good folks. Like smith said, anything written from the heart can't be bad. But there's no better way to improve your writing skills than to write AND to show people what you've written. If you want to email it to me, go ahead.

Think good thoughts,
e
