While I did (and do) understand Marc's original reaction to Timmy's post about unacceptable behaviour, I find his obstinate insistence on pursuing the thread almost ad nauseam to be worrying. If I were the recipient of the original hate mail - for that is what it must be - I would be extrememly anguished at what Marc had done to my original distress.
However, as I said, I found Marc's original point quite understandable: why make public something which was private? The answer surely is that Timmy has a responsibility as Board Owner when he is drawn into dealing with something that has happened offline because of discussions online.
Therefore I suggest that when, in future, Timmy sees a need to act as the moderator of this board that he post his notice as "Moderator" and not as "Timmy" and that we all recognise that Moderator's messages are not intended to be discussed but to inform and regulate.
Now, please, let us all show minimal kindness to the unhappy recipient of that mail and end this discussion.
Perhaps it could be that I am a calus uncaring son of a bitch that quite frankly is basically in agreement with if not the wording of the "so called" letter....
Or perhaps it could possible be that our beloved and intrepid leader was dead on wrong to bring that issue to the board and expect not to be called on it....
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Thanks again, Steve, for this very good advice!
