There was a time long ago
When you promised to tell me what will happen next.
But that is a memory that is fading my my memory,
And I still do not know what will happen next.
You always tried to be there,
Even when the waves were crashing in all around you.
You promised when you arrived home again,
you would send me a nice present.
I trust you did,
All though I did not receive it yet.
Maybe it is just time now.
You said there was a light
Floating by your bed that night,
In it's evanascent glow you could feel
The power of love breaking through death.
Even though you see the light that is shining,
You know he'll never come back,
And his sister is all that is left to you,
Even though he was a mystery even to her.
You once promised me,
In a memory of a time
So long ago I would find a place
Where I could see the liminial rainbow
Of us all, and find what I needed.
I found that place
Only to realise that our light is only as bright
As we allow it to shine,
Our rain only how we let it fall
Our breeze only has forceful as we let it be.
Like the flower given to me by a friend so long ago
It withered to a shell of what it once was.
The forces of nature
The forces of time took their toll
On what I once thought was that place.
I promise you I've found that place
And found what I needed.
But the time came for me to come,
The time came for me to leave.
Like the flower in Spring
I withered
And ran out of things to say,
I ran out of words.
The breeze blew through my hair to-night
And I danced with the stars,
A chapter has folded
But the story lasts as long as I
Find the words to say.
You said when you'd die that you'd walk with me every day
And I'd start to cry and say please don't talk that way
With the blink of an eye the Lord came and asked you to meet
You went to a better place but He stole you away from me
