Here is a link to what I consider to be the most disgusting tv advertisment I've ever seen. I've eaten at this restaurant and consider their sandwiches to be quite good. However, since seeing this commercial, I can't even think about the place without feeling sick. Not sure why they think this will actually sell food.

Rofl, e! That was disgusting, hahaha! I don't know how the execs of that company could have signed off on such horrible "mascots", they look like they've been born and bred in Chernobyl or something like that... Mutoid rodents, ugh! Why would a food company want people to associate their brand with pests anyway, especially pests with huge yucky mouths like that...? Rofl!
The subs looks awesome though, but I can understand why us in the western world have such a weight problem if the sandwiches one buys looks anything like those on the website, packed full of yummy stuff. Actually, there's this article in the paper today which compares the size of various food items in the past and today. A coke PET bottle used to be 1.5 liters, today you can buy 2 or 3-liter bottles. A cinnamon roll in the past - 30 grams. Today, 76 grams. A bag of potato chips - 100 grams. Today - 300-500 grams!
It's not always so much as WHAT one eats, but how MUCH we eat of it.
Anyway, thanks for the link, that animation was rather amusing!
*hug!*

But what got to me (in addition to the mouths) was the positioning of the feet. It makes them resemble dead rats. :-/ Was it the food that killed them?
I used to raise rats. They make wonderful pets. Better than hamsters, gerbils, etc. They're smart and playful and won't bite unless they are being abused, unlike other rodents that bite for no apparent reason. So I could actually see using cute ones in advertising, but not these ugly, disgusting things.

And while I found it remarkably funny the first time, by even the second time the humour had worn off and I was just disturbed, annoyed and somewhat disgusted by it. I guess it is memorable, though, which is sometimes all that adverstising seeks to do.
Look at this tree. I cannot make it blossom when it suits me nor make it bear fruit before its time [...] No matter what you do, that seed will grow to be a peach tree. You may wish for an apple or an orange, but you will get a peach.

...Unless you actually buy a sub from these guys because you remembered those disgusting rats, the ad-campaign won't really do them much good.
Here is a REEEEEEEALLLY funny weblink - IF you understand Swedish that is... Hhahaa, I just listened to it again and it almost caused me to burst into hysteric fits of laughter! It's a woman calling to an answering service at the Swedish state radio network, complaining she can't get a clear reception on her radio. Then she goes on to complain about a whole lot of other stuff too, getting more and more irate.
It's totally hilarious. Poor woman, she'll blow an artery in her brain if she ever finds out she's on the web (the internet's one of the things she's swearing about, btw).
Oh, yes... The link. Heheh! http://skycom.org/newsread.php?newsid=178 (MS Media Player required to listen to it.)
