This test was a bit fun to take. More than the ones in New Jersey, sounds like...

I came out in the 6th circle, cuz I'm a heretic...*GASP*

Go straight to 7th level of hell, do not collect $200!

Apparantly, I am very violent??? I question that result, but hey, it's the internet! It should know, right, so who am I to question those results? Wink

Aparantly for occasionally experiencing existential angst I am considered violent. I also scored High on the lustful section, but not quite enough to be sent there...

In the description it speaks of war-mongers, suicides, violence "against God and nature" and sodomites. Sounds to me like this is where gays will likely end up, especially if a suicide attempt is in the past.

See ya there.

Now I'm feeling left out and lonely...how can I be the only fag in the 6th circle...am I not gay enough or what??

I know...it must be I admitted to giving to charities and beggars too often, that must be it...

I'm going to get Man to take the test on the week-end and see how he comes out...maybe we can at least be together in the 6th circle.

Nope, no dice on that. Being Buddhist he just gets re-born here on Earth until he gets it completely right and enters Nirvana. I think I'll go along with him on that ride instead.

Can't say as I'll miss that boiling blood stuff...Razz

Or maybe David and I could downgrade? I doubt upgrading would be possible, since the lower you go the worse it's supposed to be, right? But I think they might let us downgrade, if we asked really... rudely?

It's deadly serious too actually.

I read an editorial in the paper today written by Liza Marklund, a journalist and writer of detective novels (quite successful in these parts at least), where she talks about the recent events in San Fransisco, and an episode of the Larry King Live show on CNN where a conservative christian congress woman and a preacher visited. Both of these were most upset with the marriages, well, upset isn't the correct word for it it seems from what the journalist wrote (I can't get CNN these days, so I have to take her word for it).

We're destined for hell, all of us, according to these people. No exceptions. We're condemned to eternal suffering and damnation, while these self-righteous people gets to frolic around amongst fluffy clouds. Or, that's what THEY seem to think anyway.

Sheesh! Who needs that kind of angst anyway? No wonder I'm not religious! LOL

Marklund mentions these fundamentalist christians aren't even aware how closely they resemble people like good ol' Usama, and unfortunately that is true. It's not the muslim religion that makes people like Usama do what they do, it's being too religious in general. Blech.

Even the bible says we shouldn't judge others, so why don't people like Larry's guests heed their own scripture? *frustrated*

Hugs for everyone today...

Exactly, Lenny...you saw my hidden agenda beneath the fun and games. Religious fanatics of whatever religion are dangerous in they don't mind condeming those not conforming to their narrow views to hellfire and damnation. Conservative Christians are a significant part of Bush's power base, which makes him scarier than others lately.

My senior supervisor and right hand person in my office in Hong Kong was an awesomely talented psychologist who was Jewish from New York City. Our secretary/receptionist was the wife of one of the local missionary Baptist sect ministers, and she believed all this crap to be "Gospel truth".

I'll never forget when Sharon (the Jewish psychologist) asked the secretary if she REALLY believed that she, Sharon was going to Hell just because she wasn't a Christian. "Yes, surely." was the answer. Sharon was flabberegasted. "And my children?" "Yes, if they don't repent and convert." Sharon blinked hard again. "What about babies born to Hong Kong Chinese Buddhists?" The same. "What about non-Christian saints like the Dhali Lama or Gandhi?" "Sorry, but unless Gandhi converted as he died from the gunshot wound of his assassin, he is burning in Hell right now as we speak."

So one day at lunch, Sharon and I were discussing this with the Number One priest at the Anglican Cathedral, a lovely man, and not a fundamentalist bigot at all. Sharon asked him what he thought about the idea of the Dhali Lama's fate after his death.

I'll never forget my priest friend's response. "I think that when Jesus meets the Dhali Lama in heaven, he will say, 'How wonderful to see you once again...'" With that gentle turn of phrase, my priest friend even captured the reincarnation element of the Dhali Lama's beliefs as well as him being in heaven.

That image mnakes me feel better.

But even if all the relgious fundamentalists DO go to Heaven and we don't, what a dreadful place it must be and I can't imagine ever being upset to be absent from that crowd...I'd rather be with friends and other like minded people, if there's any after-life at all.

Whoo Hoooo! I'm a violent, despot and sodomite! Score one more for the 7's. Heheheh, sounds like the the 7th circle of Hell will be an awesome place. Let's all get houses on the same street. We'll have street parties every weekend, clothing optional.

It's getting crowded down in the 7th, but we can't be THAT bad a bunch after all, there's still eigth and ninth levels below us. Very Happy

Must say, that Cochythus or whatsitscalled place sounds awfully intriguing. Maybe we could arrange a hike to check it out, just over the day or so. Or would we need like, special clearance and passcards and such you think?

Oooops...bet you aren't allowed toi say "Than God" in the 6th Circle, huh? Oh well...

So there's at least three of us that could start a little enclave. Maybe next would be the neighborhood improvement committee, where we raise the level of decorating and such in our surroundings.

Or is that too gay?

That's wonderful, David. I know from my own religious background that there are religions (yes, even Christian ones) and also people that while being devout, do not judge others and pretty much try to act as the Christ the Saviour would have. One just needs to take a glance at the woman at the well to see how he treated his fellow man, 'he who amongst you is sinless, let him cast the first stone', then, once the crowds had departed, he gave his reprimand, 'depart thy way, and sin no more'. Such a wonderful message and I think great for being applied in parenthood.

Religion has the potential for disaster, but it also has the potential for so much good. I'm grateful for my religious background, even though I don't keep with the faith so much nowadays. There are so many messages within religion that are worth listening to, it is only when you get fundamentalist groups that misinterpret certain messages (not all fundamentalists are bad!) like the current day Christian groups, or the Jews that condemned the Christ that problems start to occur.

My guess is that traveling between planes of Hell probably invoves an elaborate customs procedure, several stamps on your passport and probably a very thorough strip search (the devil can be soooo anal at times). Sad)

US customs is annoying, it took about 3 hours to get out of LAX as opposed to 30 minutes in Korea, Japan or Aus. The coolest place is the Mexico border, when we went there, despite not legally being allowed in (because we're not US or Canadian citizens), the guys just assumed we were American and waved us through. If only plane security was that simple. Los Angeles Airport takes ages, though, it sure as heck could do with taking some of its own LAX(itives).

Wow thats crazy. When I was trying to leave Mexico flying the boarder was impossible!! Honestly they were searching every single bag by hand and it was horrible. We were truly there like 4 + hours trying to leave. Evertime we were about to move on somethign else neeeded to be checked or something else had to be emptied and repacked. Sigh I would never do it again it was soooo painful.. Not to mention embarressing.
