though i don't haaave to take it until june, the option to take the clinical/written board exam via the ASCP (american society of clinical pathologists) has arisen.

i think i'm going to go ahead and take it; i think maybe it'll look better for landing an actual job when this externship is up, or so i hope.

that's about all that's going on with me. school, mom-things, blood, exercise, meal replacement things, exercise, school, blood, school, more blood, labs, school, mom things, lather, rinse, repeat.

i've become so dull, but i can work a needle like no other.

quote of the day:
"how do i find the artery? with the needle, i mean."
"you don't, really. feel my pulse?"
"yes."
"dive for it."
"DIVE for it?"
"dive for it."
"with the needle?"
"yes."

scary chit right there.

It's always good to hear from you. I just wanted to wish you good luck on your board exam if you decide to take it. Not sure what your quoate of the day is all about, but it was fun to read. ::-)

arterial blood-gas drawing; where you have to draw from the artery as opposed to the vein. they're very hard to find, and very painful to puncture, and if you miss you're three times as likely to hit a nerve as you are when you puncture a vein. it's scary.

Hey,
they had a blood drive at my school. And I guess they normally take blood from veins but the lady missed hit the artery in this girls arm and her entire arm was like green and she had a blood clot in her arm. Also she couldnt unbend her arm all the way. It was freaky. Lots of luck
