I'm sure you've all heard about the terrible bombings that took place in Spain the other day (200 dead, a thousand or so injured, many of those critically).
Yesterday, the socialists won over the conservatives in the elections for parliament, and a part of the reason might be that very terrorist attack. Al Quaeda (and I guess other extremist groups) have said they'd punish Spain for supporting the attack on Iraq, and there are evidence of muslim extemists being behind the attack.
Now that Spain has a new government, should they follow the will of the people and withdraw their support of Bush's campaign, since around 9 out of 10 Spaniards are against this involvement (or so I heard in media anyway), or should they stay on general principle, to show terrorism should not be allowed to dictate a country's actions?
I myself can't make up my mind on this, there are good reasons to follow both paths... Anyway, I'm not Spanish, so it's not really for me to say. It would be cool if we had a board member who IS from Spain, or at least has friends there so we could get a real opinion on this...
Take care everyone!
