I am oficially a bad human being. Why? becuase my art teacher says so *grins wickidly* I am proud to say that I have finally done something bad in my life *smiles* I was kicked out of class for the first time ever today. Now you must understand, I was kicked out of art, woop dee doo. Ha, Yes I was told to leave and not to return becuase I was causing a ruckous in class today. I finished my plaque I was making today and am now trying to come up with my next project. Her only real requirments is that it has to be soemthing that hangs, and she wnats it to be a something made with cloth or soemthing. (vague huh) So following in the spirit of my other projects we just have to do something political, just have to!

So far this year I have made a dead moose, and a plaque in all camo proclaiming that I love junior high boys, and that cum is good, in Japanese. SO for my next thing I am feeling that I need to make a holy cow. Yes you heard me a holy cow. Hanging upside down with its tongue otu and its four feet bound together with rope. Now do you see why I was kicked out of class? Your right, neither do I. *laughs* so anyway she didn't take kindly to my cow idea. Even though I thought it was pretty good.

So anyway if you guys have any ideas for a wicked cool art project that I can make that will hang. And no I am not allowed to hang a dick on a string Very Happy I already tried that one... But yeah I am lookign for soemthign that you can hang that wouldn't normally be foudn hanging, like a cow. Ok if you have any ideas post them here for me.

Peace and Trees

One small problem though, they ARE normally found hanging, which would go against your instructions, but pears look so NICE as they hang. It's something about that shape that just appeals to me somehow.

Maybe you could do a christmas tree instead; normally things hang in the tree, but if you reverse it... Um... Maybe not. Sorry, my head is sort of out of ideas right now, it's midnight right now and I can't think of anything meaningful (and the silly story I'm reading on Nifty isn't really going anywhere, but now I've invested so much time on it I can't just stop either, aaaargh!)

Heh. You'll think of something matey.
(And I don't believe for a SECOND you're a bad human being! Sorry, I just can't! Hahaha. Smile)

personally? i'd go for the cow, anyway. would your teacher wind up failing you or causing worse trouble if you did it? i ask because i think it's a good idea--cows are slaughtered for leather, which is a material; not quite "clothlike" but close.

i rather like the idea of something that some cultures worship, but our own degrades and kills for consumption and vanity, hanging upside down. not unlike a false idol.

i can't really think up any ideas, maybe because i do really like your original one, but wouldn't want to see you drop/failed from the class for it, or worse.

...but isn't art supposed to be about personal view, and controversy? i hate when teachers make their students "stay in the box." that isn't what art is about.

good luck.
Smile

You are such a creative guy Very Happy I think "cum is good" in Japanese sort of wins the prize but I'm not the art teacher.

I was thinking that you could change your idea to a holy bull, since everyone knows a bull is hung. That way, you'd have the hanging part and the leather.

If you want a serious idea: You could make a hang glider because it hangs in the air currents and it's made of cloth. http://www.willswing.com/

*you hang up a phone
*earrings hang
*possums hang from tree branches
*Indian dreamcatchers hang from prayer trees

I really love hearing your art ideas........

Hey, I got it! How about a depiction of a Florida voting ballot? It would make a political statement, it's made of paper (which is sort of cloth-like), and is festooned with "hanging" chads....

In case you need a model, below is a specimen of the one that was used in the 2000 presidential election.

Uber-lame, I know; but it's the best I can come up with on short notice.

And if what happened makes you a bad human being, then I submit that your teacher has a thing or two to learn about humanity (not to mention art).

Hahaha, don't worry guys! Andy is as innocent as ever. He just asked me to write some Japanese words for his art project and I kind of threw together some things (hopefully gramatically correct things!) from that list I posted here a little while back. Of course, he isn't a total angel as he could have refused my nasty, nasty sentences, but now, what fun would that have been?

Look at this tree. I cannot make it blossom when it suits me nor make it bear fruit before its time [...] No matter what you do, that seed will grow to be a peach tree. You may wish for an apple or an orange, but you will get a peach.

smith's more of a horse person, so perhaps instead of hang-gliding, he'll take up hang-gelding. Confused?? Ok, bad pun, I know. But there's an idea for Andy. Geldings aren't normally "hung."

Ouch!

Think good thoughts,
e

It's probably French in origin. Weird English words usually are. Wink

Oh, what a difference one itty bitty little letter makes, and they don't even look very dissimilar either! Smile

Anyway, thanks again for the pics. The moose was nice too I might add. I have mentioned we have lots of them here, right? Once when I was about your age or a little younger in fact, I was even chased by one. Smile Though, it was in a very friendly manner I might add, haha.

Btw, if one is not a vegetarian, mooseflesh is very tasty. Yeah, I'm still hungry... Must be thinking about all that ice cream, yum!

"Peace and Trees Forever" indeed! If he were still alive, John Lennon would write a song about it...
