The mother is obsessive, the elder son flees from responsibility, his girlfriend's this multiple personalities mess, her mother's a witch and the father thinks he's a casanova and not to mention the brother who is plain batty, the daughter is a moth drawn to flames, the younger son is a neat-freak, the boyfriend is a brooding thundercloud, his sister's a lying junkie and the employee is overly fascinated by dead people... And so on.
They're all nuts, hehehe. Eeeewwww, LOL.

Okay, I know that's like, really annoying, so I'll give you a small hint; it's not the first time I talk about this on the board.
Alright, so that wasn't very helpful, but maybe David knows what this is all about! After all, he's the certifiable... Um, certified... Ah, whatever.
The shrink amongst us. Haha.

Well, if he had included one more brother who is a psychopathic butcher, I'd swear he was talking about my family.
Think good thoughts,

6 feet under? Not seen it, but "dead people" does it for me.
By the way, many people with multiple personalities are a community of people living in a single body under some form of unity, but there are a good many who are quite a mess since they have not yet learnt to create order out of chaos

At first, I thought the cast was just a bit eccentric, in a charming sort of way, but as time wore on it became clear they really are this kooky. Heh.
The only REALLY sane person so far seems to be the daughter's brief boyfriend (who's SOOOO cute!!!), before she became re-attracted to BillyBatty. Hahaha. Okay, the father might seem pretty normal too, but he also led a double life, with his secret room he rented... Though with the family he had, who can blame him, heh.
Ooh, yeah. The mother's Russian fling, HE isn't that weird either. He didn't have ANY idea what he gave himself into when he started hitting on her, the poor bastard... LOL! She completely took over control of his life once given the chance!
I sort of have to disconnect myself from all of them, because otherwise I just end up feeling bad for them. If I do this, I can just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
HBO serials DO seem to be less simplified and with lots of human color; "The Sopranos" is like that too, it's really the only American series I've ever seen where a large percentage of the cast consists of older and/or fat people for example. So was that miniseries, "Angels in America" too by the way. Is this lack of fear of simplification and human color because HBO seems to show a fairly large percentage of 'adult' material, perhaps? Like, you wouldn't risk upsetting sponsors and such with controversial material if you already show porn late at night.
David, could I maybe ask you to do a quick breakdown of the major cast members? It would be fascinating to see, since you're good with this stuff. If you got the time I mean. Not that you have to write a book on each of them, mind you. Just a little something. Thanks! *hug*
