A few of you know that I've beensuffering a horribel bout of bronchitis and at the same time can't stop workingto rest coz I'm self employed. After 2 weeks of antierotics the quack said "infection is now cured" and gave me some medicine for asthmatic kids to clear my chest.
The stuff is "Alupent" in syrup form.
Lordy this stuff is evil.
OK, the chest s a load clearer, but, on 3/4 of the dose per dose 3 times a day instead of the four you would give a child the side effects are amazing and horrible.
I have spent this evening with paranoia and meds induced fear even whilke sitting peacefully on my sofa watching Road Trip. (If Beth were a boy, like WOW! Love the face and attitude, just had real trouble with breasts and curves!).
Now I know I'd prefer an asthmatic kid to be able to breathe instead of choke to death, but what does this stuff do to kids? The effect lasts ages. And I think the paranoia happens as the dose fades!
Or, of course, they could all be out to get me!!!

To clear my conscience, I will admit I did laugh though, several times, particulary at that final line, but it still doesn't feel funny.
I sometimes have these horrible dreams where there is some undefined evil in my apartement out to get me, and it is so awful I don't want to sleep ever again, but then it goes away of course and I sleep more until morning and the dream is barely a memory. What you're experiencing sounds much worse.

It might not be easy to accept under the influence of this evil chest-clearing syrup, but if 'they' really are out to get you, all they want to do when they catch you is do just that. Give you a nice long {{{{hugggg}}}}.
Take care, okies?

"antierotics?" Is that the opposite of Viagra?
The side effct of Alupent do not sound fun at all. You should probably call you doctor and tell him to change your prescription. there are other drugs he could prescribe that may not produce this effect.

I kicked the Alupent yesterday. Seeing the medic tomorrow morning. This stuff sucks. I just spent the past 90 minutes slouched on my sofa and almost vibrating with stress. But I ony have minor stress at present. This is totally absurd. Impossible to rationalise the stress away because it just kept coming. And it wasn't even really real.
It's starting to go only now.
