Those of us with an avatar, why did we choose it?

...A happy cute boy (though this particular boy is actually older than me, if by no more than a few months, hehe).

The image just felt right, somehow. Smile

Because Elfquest ( http://www.elfquest.com ) is unbelievalby cool comic, the only one so far to make me cry, actually. And because I found a good pic of Skywise, and he's my favourite elf, alongside Cutter. The pic is (c) by someone calling herself Kanga, if I remember correctly, but I'm afraid I have lost her website address. And yes, I got her premission to use the pic on this site as my avatar Smile

Well, it's YEARS since I read Mad magazine.

But you do.

My avatar is one of the very first pictures I ever came across when I first started "surfing the 'net" (and, hopeless romantic that I am, it's still one of my favorites). So when Timmy and Bernd completed that terrific upgrade to the message board which allowed for posters to have an avatar, I found myself thinking of what "A Place of Safety" (a true one) would be like, and those thoughts led me back to that picture.

I kinda changed mine around a lot at first, but when I saw this image, one wolf pup gently encouraging a shyier pup to do something, well it kinda clicked with me. I'm still that bold 16 year old adventurer inside. I'm kinda a teacher by nature, temperament and training, and, well, it sorta fit my current situation in life. Those of you that talk to me a little more often might realize that the white wolf needs to be a different sort of creature, but it's the symbolism of that picture, not it's reality, that matters to me just now.

Next!

Yeah, I always like Skywise
I tend to be more Suntop or Cutter than Skywise, but he was my favorite of the older Wolfriders. His name now only suited him, but it made him unique among the Wolfriders. And we both know that according to popular Elfquest myth he's very good in bed, LOL. Awesome Choice!
