Ok, probably not. But we did have a discussion about him in here a month or two ago. He's the Japanese baseball player who made a gay porn flick. He was banned from playing baseball in Japan so he came to the US. He's been pitching in the minor leagues last year and so far this year. Until now. The Cleveland Indians just called him up to their major league team. He'll probably join the team either today or tomorrow. Don't know when he'll pitch. He's a relief pitcher so he won't be in the starting lineup, but could appear in the latter stages of games. It should be interesting to see what kind of response he gets from the fans.

Yes, he says that he is not gay and only did it for the money. However, public reaction to him is still worth watching as it will be an indication of how well the public may be willing to accept a gay athlete.
He did not pitch in today's game as the starting pitcher, Jake Westbrook, pitched complete game and needed no relief.
