Last night I was watching a tv program called Great Chefs of the World. It features various chefs preparing a wide variety of dishes, some quite ordinary, some quite exotic. Last night's program featured a chef who prepared carp sperm. He served it in some sort of sauce, but I don't recall what. Initially I was a bit taken aback, then I realized that most of us eat eggs without even thinking about the fact they are the female equivalent to our sperm. In fact eggs, particularly fish eggs can be quite expensive. I also realized that human sperm is frequently consumed as part of sexual acts. So why does it sound so odd that sperm would be prepared and eaten for dinner?

Ewww, ugh! Wouldn't try it myself though; when I eat animals I prefer pure muscle tissue (with some exceptions - I actually like liver, for example).

Hard roe is the eggs. Soft roe is the sperm. They are a delicacy in most fish. They have been eaten for centuries

I have heard of hard and soft roe, but I didn't know that one was actually sperm. I thought they were both eggs. I love the eggs, btw. We fixed salmon roe and swordfish roe (I forget the Japanese names) last Friday night in class which was "sushi night." We were being taught to make sushi. YUM!

Yes. Pig testicles are commonly referred to as mountain oysters in the States. Mostly because they were (are) eaten by hiil people (hillbillies). They really aren't very common in this country but I know they are eaten in other cultures and are thought to increase one's virility.
I LOVE liver, especially duck livers sauteed in garlic butter with a little white wine then served with eggs for breakfast or Sunday brunch. Beef liver is another favorite. In fact, one of my brothers enjoyed beef liver so much as a kid that he always requested it for his birthday dinner. I liked it even when my mother overcooked it and it got kind of chewy. But now that I know how to prepare it properly, I enjoy it even more.

Vegans are people who don't eat, drink or wear any animal products at all - not even eggs, milk, cheese, honey, leather and so on. Would that mean that a gay person who was also a vegan would not be permitted to give a b/j? Just asking
