Mtv is gonna start a gay cable channel called 'Logo' in February, 2005.

http://premium.money.cnn.com/2004/05/25/news/fortune500/mtv_gay_network/

You notice the word 'money' in the address........
According to the articles I read, the gay and lesbian population targeted numbers 15 million adults with the buying power of over $485 billion.

I found this paragraph so sadly funny:

"Major US networks have been reluctant to create a gay cable network because some executives fear that conservative viewers would be bothered by its programming."

I can think of other terms than "be bothered by", can't you? Funny how we bother them when all they have to do is click that remote.

Fuming. Steaming. Frothing rabidly at the mouth. ...Etc. Sad

Some days I think there simply can't be any hope for humanity as long as we blindly hate people we've never even met. This is of course not limited to gays - sadly enough I have to say.

Not that I want people to hate gays, but that we hate SO MANY different things is actually even sadder, IMO.

Just telling these people to click their remotes isn't enough when the mere fact that we exist is what's REALLY "bothering" them.

Sad

Anyway, thanks for the heads-up, I had no idea something like this was being planned. Good to know MTv is a rather progressive network, even if it is driven by commercial interests more than anything else.

Just wondering, what's "SSDD" stand for? A couple years ago I had a little store at a swapmeet (flea market) that I called SunShine DayDreamers, unLimited (SSDD).

Think good thoughts,
