Someone suggested to me a new service that the Iomfats web site might offer. There are around the world many people who are having a struggle with some aspect of their being gay who would like to get religious counsel from a sympathetic member of the clergy of their religion/denomination. I like the idea, but am not certain how to go about implementing it. As a first step, if anyone knows of a gay-friendly clergyman or woman in their area who might be amenable to contribute to such a service please send me their e-mail address. This goes for all religions, of course.

The Unitarian Universalist Church has been accepting and even friendly toward the GLBT Community for years.

Also, the http://www.firelandspride.org is opening a page of religion links (list being verified as I type). Just follow the resource trail to the religion page.

There are many GLBT friendly groups and associations which can find friendly knowledgable clergy willing to talk.

OOPS...... it's ready now......

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

I'm pretty sure the MCC church, being a gay oriented denomination, would be able to put us onto some sympathetic clergyperson. For myself, i've come to terms with all that....grew up in a strict evangelical home and had quite a time of it, but it's all good now. But i remember the struggle, and i think the idea is a good one for those who feel the need of it now.

thanks for hosting this space, tim.

cheers,

aj
