Yup, you got it. I am compiling a list of fetishes. So, please give me your contributions in this thread. i don't mean ones you enjoy. I just mean fetishes.

Are we talking kinks or lucky charms?
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

oh gosh, where to begin....infantilism, w/s in all it's varying types, feet, body odor, beards, transvestism (not, thank you very much, transgenderism), public sex...if you can think of it, somebody has a kink for it. One of the stranger ones i've run across lately is centaurism...where some clever guy uses photoshop to remake a guy's body till he has an extra pair of legs, an elongated torso, and an extra set of genitalia. Not my kind of thing, but...whatever gets you through the night, right? good luck on further searches for kink.

Because not only do I not really have any fetishes myself (unless one counts a bias towards short, smooth, twinky guys perhaps), they don't even really interest me all that much either.
Anyway, some I can think of off the top of my head:
* "bears" (body hair)
* feet
* body odor
* long hair
* bondage/humiliation/leather etc
* pain
* wee, "foreskin residue" and such (yuk)
I'm sure there are many more!

I thought I knew what a fetish is, but everyone has been giving a list of something like "pet hates", so I though that maybe I was wrong. (It does happen sometimes, you know!) So I checked the Merriam-Webster online dictionary and found that I was right. Here is the dictionary's definition:
1 a : an object (as a small stone carving of an animal) believed to have magical power to protect or aid its owner; broadly : a material object regarded with superstitious or extravagant trust or reverence b : an object of irrational reverence or obsessive devotion : PREPOSSESSION c : an object or bodily part whose real or fantasied presence is psychologically necessary for sexual gratification and that is an object of fixation to the extent that it may interfere with complete sexual expression
2 : a rite or cult of fetish worshipers
3 : FIXATION
OK. I guess that Timmy is asking about 1 c. I ain't got none.

Sweetie, you don't need to HAVE them yourself, but I am looking for things like: leather, latex, bondage, Watersports, etc etc. I have a fertile imagination, but I am trying to create as complete a list as I can.

How could your list ever be complete when some people fantasize about rolling around having sex in chocolate syrup, while others want to do it in shaving cream or peanut butter, etc??? There's an endless variety of weirdness stemming from our depraved species.
Your list will never be completed, so perhaps we have to add that to the fetish list too; collecting fetishes!

This "need" to have a complete list of something that is so vast as to be virtually endless is in itself a fettish.
there can not be a complete list of fettish's because just when you think you've seen it all..... There you are..... Getting blown away by some new idea.

Ok.... back in college I knew of a guy that loved to screw chickens....
Live or cold from the poultry counter at the supermarket.... It didn't matter....
After the deed was done he would cook the chicken and have dinner.

Because my fetish is storms. I wouldn't say that it goes to the point of being something I REQUIRE for sexual gratification, but whenever it is thundering and lightninging I get reeeeaaaallll horny...;-D

According to Freud, the fetish develops when a boy discovers that his mother has no penis. As a result, the boy develops castration anxiety because he believes that his mother's penis must have been removed. He also assumes that it was his father who must have removed it (given that in Freud's time the father was the dominent figure in the household). The boy becomes quite anxious about the possibility that his father may remove his penis as well. The psyhologically healthy boy then begins to identify with his father (a means of trying to please him so his penis will not be removed) and the formation of his superego (development of a sense of morality and self control) begins. The psychologically unhealthy boy goes into denial and finds a substitute for his mother's penis (the fetish). This fetish then becomes necessary for sexual arousal and gratification.
This explanation is my interpretation of Freud and not quite exactly as he would have stated it, but it is essentially correct (in terms of Freudian theory).

Not to mention having an unhealthy fixation with the removal of penises I might add!
Glad to see you're posting again.
Missed you!

Does that mean the first thing he saw when he found out his mother lacked a penis was someone having their penis removed?

I know I haven't posted much lately. I haven't had much time for such things, though I have been reading as many of the posts as I can (unfortunately not all of them).
Freud's theories were largely a response to the prudisim of the Victorian Era. He believed the sexual repression of the era was largely responsible for the neuroses from which his clients (mostly wealthy women) suffered.
While I do not believe that psychological health has everything to do with sexuality the way Freud did, I do believe that sexual repression has a considerable negative impact upon mental health.
