you fall down and get a simple fracture of a forarm?
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

the bruise goes 3/4 around the forarm half way between the wrist and elbow and is about 6 inches wide.
I can bend it carefully at the wrist and elbow and have limited rotary motion.
it hurts badly...

I would suggest visiting a doctor or emergency room, assuming you already haven't. If neither is practical i suppose you could make a sling (though that could prove difficult since the injured arm seems to be completely out of commision) or borrow one from a friend. I don't know much about the injury and healing of body parts aside from growth plates but from what you've said will most likely heal fine as long as you take it easy.
I'm obviously no doctor, so feel free to ignore this completely.
Oh, btw, it sounds like it would hurt quite a bit to touch and you've said it's painful to move, so how do you sleep, drive, etc.?

well, we don't know that it's a simple fracture until you get some imaging done. if indeed it's a fracture, then it's going to need to be immobilized for a while until it heals...so i think the suggestion of a trip to the ER or urgent care center is a good one. You need to find out what really happened in there, and soon. if it is fractured, you could be doing a lot of soft tissue damage by moving it around, and it will slow the healing process.

for sleeping, I rest it on a nice soft pillow.
As for driving..... well that is as always kept to a minimum.....
(I hate driving) and Kevy drives real good.
