I am Marc (XXX),

Welcome........ Very Happy

Tell us a bit bout u? Whatever you are comfy with....

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Kewelies,

Thats a good start, I gots a cat.... "Kittykat" We live in her house, Kevy and I which is in Sandusky, Ohio.

I'm retired from teaching, Kevy (my partner) is in college studing computer sciences. Kevy's brother does Lighting for live performances and he is in Louisiana.

We have a couple of small businesses we started, one being retailing fashion hair things and accessories for girls and ladies, and we also do limited web design and desktop publishing.

I collect, buy, sell, trade, loan and covet cook books and I love to cook as well. Kevy however bakes up a storm so and he collects those little hot wheels cars although I never have managed to find his stash of them in the house, I think he buries them in the yard.

Any how,
Nice to have you here,
Marc

Please make yourself at home, there's coke in the fridge, and I'm making tea later. If you need to grab a smoke though you'll have to go outside. ;-D

Take care!

First of all, Thank you so very much for the welcome. It means more to me than you would think.

I see what you're saying about 'kittykat'... People train dogs while cats train people. It's how the world is balanced. LOL

I'm sorry to say I dont have any cook books to sell or trade you. my cooking is limitted to the grill. renee (the girl roommate) cant cook worth a pooh unless it's chicken. shane (the other roommate) is an awesome cook, so i let him have at it inside while i'm fixing up a mean bbq outside. it works for everyone. oh, and haley is good for burned toast and soggy cereal.

i've done lighting before and i absolutely hated it. i'd rather be put behind a sound board... or just let me onstage, i'm good with that too Wink

that reminds me of a small problem i've been thinking over. a band i used to do vocals for is about to lose two of its most important members (the lead vocals and the bass player). the other guys are wanting me to come back to the group... which i loved doing it, dont get me wrong. we still jam out even now, and we've played a few gigs here and there on the side. the thing that bothers me with committing to the group effort is the time. i'm about to go to court for full custody of haley, i'll be a full-time parent as opposed to being a part-time parent as it's been that way...... well, all of her life until now. i dont want to be pulled in two different directions. i'm not really sure it would be a problem is the thing. we'd only play once or twice a week at the most, if not just once or twice a month, with practices in between, so it's not like it would take up ALL of my time. when i go back to work (i've been out because of back surgery) i'll be cutting my hours in half (hey, man, i get paid the same no matter how much or how little i work, i kinda like it Wink )... so that's my delimna. band or no band? tough decisions.... well, there's more to it than just that. i have another 'party' to consider in this decision... but that's a whole different issue... the "move or not move" issue.. which i've already decided on, and i'm not telling anyone until the time is right ;-D ;-D

sorry about the rambling. this will give everyone something new to chitter-chat about i guess!
