It would seem I have won a day cruise by ferry to Newcastle some day in the coming next few months, so if anyone in the local vicinity wants to meet up and have a chat and/or a bite to eat for a few hours (emphasis: few; the boat arrives ~10AM and leaves again at 3PM, so I won't be able to bore you for very long! ), please drop me an email and we'll make plans and I'll reserve my ticket to match both our schedules. (Mine's very easy to match... *sighs*)
I would very much like some company, as I don't know what to do in Newcastle. In fact, I don't even know where it is! :-[ (Well, I'll just go and have a look at a map, don't worry.)
Okay, end of this public announcement.

Hello Lenny
We've not really spoken at all but I can drive to Newcastle from where I live within a few hours. I went once, last year, to that city to play in a sports tournament but spent most of my time in the hospital. Still, I know of one or two decent bars. Email me privately (address can be found via the links at the story shelf) and if I can make it on the day you are coming I would be quite happy to meet you.
Best wishes

Thanks for replying! It would be sooo cool to get to meet someone new from around here, I've only met Timmy, Nick and Setras so far, and that was wonderful.
What's there to do in Newcastle? I guess there must be a reason for a ferry line to end up at that city all the way from Sweden. I'm not much of a bar person because I don't drink, and I'm allergic to smoke (well, my brain is, hehe), so that doesn't work too well, but I like seeing new stuff and new places and such.
In the meanwhile, take care okies?
*hug!*

It's for the fifth of September, but the ferry won't actually arrive until the next day. The ferry leaves twice a week, sundays and wednesdays (or was it thursdays? ), and I can move my reservation should it be needed.

Wrong end of the country for me Lenny, as I'm down the South Coast of Hants, but it would have been nice.
Thanks for the offer!

I'll leave on the fifth next month (september), arrive on the 6th, 10am... It's OK if nobody can make it, I'll manage, but it would still be fun.

Be sure to take some nice pictures of your little excursion.
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...
