Sorry folks I guess I have had a lot on my mind recently. This is easier though just an opinion.
Do you have the capability to dream about something you don't have knowledge about? MY exmaple is you dream about a bigpipper but you don't know what a bagpipe sounds like. Will in the dream the bagpipe ever be heard and if so what will the sound be?

You can dream about things you have no idea about. I've had dreams about having incredibly indepth conversations about particle physics, which obviously i have no clue about. It was all bullsh*t undoubtedly, but it felt very real and profound. So if you dreamed about a bagpiper but didn't know what one sounded like, your mind would fill in the blanks and make it sound like something you had experienced, or come up with something from your imagination. Our minds are cool that way.
cheers!

right on.
travis, a friend of mine who studies dreams for a living, says that dreams are more like watching a movie than real life. anything can happen if your mind thinks it.
i like to wonder, if dreams are like movies, then is a different demension of reality more like acting in a play? (ex. astral projection)

I think...
when your mind doesnt make up a sub, it usually means that it's not important for the dream to be whole. you're focusing on bigger, better issues... kind of like only remembering parts of conversations, and when you retell the story you fill in the blanks to suit who ever is listening... the most important things stay important, so they're not lost.
it may also be, coming from travis, that you have filled in the blanks, but you don't remember. everyone dreams (every time we are in REM, i might add), but not everyone remembers their dreams. everyone is different, so it's hard to pinpoint why this happens, but i've heard there's lots of explanations. what do you guys think?
